This is not my first experience with a Linksys Mesh Network. And in my book, Linksys is king. We bought the first generation three Node Velop Mesh Network about five years ago and it’s been great. But lately, one of the nodes was going in and out, which caused instability and it was time for an upgrade. Linksys to the rescue, with the newest generation Velop Pro 6E Mesh Network. If you’re still using a cheap router provided by your Internet Service Provider, you simply don’t what you’re missing. Linksys Mesh Networks are easy to setup, powerful and they make your connected live so much better. Especially, if you’re like my household and you have a lengthy list of Wifi hungry devices.
This newest Velop Pro 6E is in another league. It comes superbly packaged, with three nodes, three power adapters, an ethernet cable, and a quick start guide. If you do use a modem router from your internet service provider, this replaces your Router and you will only be using the modem side of the Router. When we got our first Linksys Mesh Network, we wound up needing to remove the Modem-Router and just use a dedicated Modem.
So, what’s so special about this newest Mesh Network from Linksys. Well, let me tell you. It uses Cognitive Mesh, delivering the absolute newest Wifi 6E, which provides superior range. And by Cognitive, Linksys means the network thinks for itself and figures things out by making adjustments continuously to improve connectivity across all of your devices. Translation? You get a faster network, with wider coverage, which permits you to add more devices. It would be very difficult to stump this network and after a couple days using it, I’m getting better Wifi connectivity in places around my home, including Wifi connected security cameras outside my home, which struggled with the previous network. And my home is a concrete and rebar home in the Sunshine State, where thick walls are mandatory for hurricane building codes.
This 6E network has access to higher MHz channels than lesser networks, which provides more power and stronger, more stable connections. In also uses a “Qualcomm Immersive Home” 316 Platform chipset for next generation performance and stability. We’ve currently got 26 Wifi connected devices running in and around our home and this new network isn’t taxed in the least. I’m getting download speeds throughout my home of a little over 420 Mbps, which I’ve never gotten before. The system, however, is capable of delivering over 5000+ Mbps, which is beyond amazing. We only pay for 400 Mbps, which seems more than enough for the average user. Linksys is using a new design with the Nodes this time, which they call a Droplet Design, which is nice looking and provides better thermal performance.
This system is Wifi 6E, which is the absolute newest wireless standard, that extends the capabilities of Wifi 6 into the 6 GHz band. This allows for greater efficiency, higher throughput and increased security. It uses a new, exclusive spectrum that is much larger and has more channels than the spectrum used by previous generations of Wifi devices which means greater reliability and efficiency. Because this is a 3 Node Mesh Network, Linksys says it can comfortably cover 9000 square feet. Our home isn’t even close to that size, but for us, three Nodes means never having to be concerned about losing signal inside or outside our home, which is a great thing indeed! It has a host of security features and it support wireless security/encryption including WPA2/WPA3 Mixed Personal, WPA2 and WPA3 Personal. Add in Parental controls which offers time-based, domain-based and MAC address-based (device-based) blocking of Internet access for those with children who might want to make sure their kids can’t access things they don’t want them to access.
So, what’s it like to set up a new Linksys Velop Pro6 6E. Simple, actually. The first thing you need to do is download the Linksys App on your smartphone. And yes, you need the app for system setup and control once setup. I already had the app, since this new network is replacing an existing Linksys Mesh Network. Then plug in all the Nodes where the modem the Primary Node will be connected, and the app will walk you through the setup process. You’ll be asked to go to your Wifi settings on your phone and enter the Primary Node (any of the nodes can be used as the Primary) Wifi Password, which is printed on a label on the bottom of the node. Then tap the Node name, which is printed on the same label and the primary Node will be connected to Wifi. Then you’ll plug the ethernet cable into the modem and node. The next step is the only place I had an issue and that is you are asked to unplug your Modem, wait 2.5 minutes, then plug it back in and the Node will then go about connecting to the Modem. My Node got hung up. So, I called Linksys and got a wonderful agent who helped me past that step and once fully connected, the app asks if you have any other Nodes to connect and you’ll say yes, and they connect to the network in just a couple minutes. Once you’ve got all three nodes completely configured, you can move the two satellite Nodes to the locations you’ve chosen as their permanent location. In my home, the Primary Node is in the middle of the house. And each satellite Node is located on opposite ends of the house, with the result of consistently strong Wifi everywhere.
My biggest concern was whether I’d have to reconnect the 26 Wifi enable devices I had on the old Mesh Network. And thankfully, I didn’t have to, as-long-as I used the same network name and password I used for the previous system. Once I set that, every single one of the 26 devices connected to the network immediately. So smart. So simple. YAY!
As far as I’m concerned, a Linksys Mesh Network makes your connected life so much better, providing powerful and very stable network connectivity. This newest Pro 6E takes everything Linksys has learned about stable, powerful networks and gives you next-level-performance. Is it worth the price of admission? Yes, Yes, Yes! Two Thumbs Up YES!

We live in Florida, in the area of the state, known as the lightning capital of America. We get a LOT of thunderstorms with a LOT of lightning strikes. Not long ago, a lightning strike took out our SimpliSafe Base Station and our Amazon Echo Show. So I was very happy to have the chance to add this wall mounted 360 Electrical -Revolve60, 4 rotating outlets, with 2 usb C plugs, feating 1080 joules. A joule is a measure of energy released over a period of time. Interestingly, the average lightning strike releases about one billion joules of energy over a fraction of a second.
A surge protector joule rating indicates how much energy it can absorb before it fails. The more joules you have, the better protected your devices will be. And according to what I've read, 1000 joules is enough to protect the average computer, so this device which has 1080 joules is more than enough for smaller electronics, like our SimpliSafe Base Station and Amazon Echo Show.
This Revolved60 is newly redesigned and oputputs enough USB C power to charge most full-size laptops with a full 60 watts of power. Most other USB C ports don't have nearly the power this unit does! It's made of super conducting Gallium Nitride (Advanced Gallium Nitride or GaN) transistors, which are more efficient than silicone transistors and reduces heat buildup, making charging your devices safer and cooler. Also included are 4 rotating electrical plugs to plug electrical items into.
It comes nicely packaged and includes a screw to mount it more safely into an electrical outlet, as long as your outlets have the mounting screw in the center of the outlet. Our outlets do not, so we cannot take advantage of the provided plate screw. It's firmly attached to the outlet we chose anyway, so I'm not concerned we can't lock it down.
According to 360 Electrical, "Power Delivery maximizes charging performance by constantly communicating with your devices to safely deliver the exact amount of power needed." And it also uses Charge Sense technology to "intelligently distribute power between ports when charging more than one device."
This is a very intelligent, compact, well-made surge protector, which is VERY affordable and should provide all the protection I need for the devices which are plugged into it. It's a bonus for sure that the USB C ports output 60 watts of power, giving me the option to charge devices which require higher power, using USB C. The sum of all the parts and technology included for the price, makes this a fantastic value, for sure!

I've never owned an air purifier before, but I want clean air. We all want clean air. So when I had the opportunity to get this Blue Pure 411a Max HEPASilent air purifier, I was excited for the opportunity. Was my excitement rewarded on receipt? Yes. It comes nicely packaged and fully ready to plug in and turn on. It is, I must admit larger than I expected, but it matches our interior colors in gray and white. It has a nice modern aesthetic and it's unbelievably QUIET. I mean, its so quiet I have to put my head up to it, to know its actually working.
So, how does it work? Great, is one word which comes to mind. This purifier is designed to quickly clean the air in a 219 square foot room in 12.5 minutes or a room up to 526 square feet in 30 minutes. We've chosen to put this in our bedroom, which is smaller, so the air is being cleaned quickly. Blueair tested the performance to have a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 141 for fine particulates (dust, pollen, smoke, etc.). It uses what they call HEPASilent dual filtration. The outside of the purifier has a pre-filter fabric surrounding it, which is washable. Inside the filer is the HEPA filter, which Blueair recommends replacing every 6 - 9 months.
Operating the purifier couldn't be simpler. Press the power button and it's on. You have the option to set it to Auto Mode or Night Mode, or you can choose from three speeds (1, 2, 3). There is an indicator light to let you know when it's time to change the filter, which will shine red. And you can adjust the brightness of the control lights by pressing the fan speed selector button AND the power button at the same time for 3 seconds, then keep your finger on the power button and tap the fan selector till you arrive at the desired brightness you prefer.
The front of the unit has an LED Light, which apparently doesn't adjust its brightness, but it does tell you the unit is on and what the Air Quality status is. Light Blue is excellent. Dark Blue is Good. Yellow is Moderate. Orange is Polluted. And Red is Very Polluted.
There really isn't much else to know. Plug this puppy in. It cleans the air, via the most awarded air purifier brand in the US, something Blueair proudly claims. Finally, rest easy knowing you're breathing clean and pure air in your home. It just doesn't get easier or better than this. No, it doesn't!

It my opinion Panasonic, makes the best home phone systems. And this Corded and Cordless TGF892B from Panasonic is no exception. This system replaces a cordless Panasonic system I've had in my home now for well over 5 years. It was still working well, but this new system offers advantages the previous system doesn't and as usual, it's simply great.
It comes well packaged and includes a desk corded phone, two cordless phones, rechargeable batteries for the cordless phones, their charging bases and every cable you need to quickly and easily put the system in place. I didn't even need to refer to the quick guide or larger, more thorough Operating Instructions book supplied in the box. It's almost impossible to mess up this up.
The corded phone is the base station, which the cordless phones get their signals from. And the corded base station lets you program all the features you need, such as:

I particularly like that you can pair up to 4 sets of Bluetooth Headphones to the system and I easily paired a set of Jabra Elite 85t and Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds. All you need to do is put them in pairing mode and use any of the handsets to pair them using the Settings Menu. Once paired, you start a call on the handset, turn on the paired headphones and the call will transfer over to the Bluetooth headphones.
The corded base station has a large 1.6" LCD screen and the cordless handsets have a easily to read screen as well. The system uses DECT 6.0 technology. DECT stands for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications and 6.0 is the newest standard. Having made a number of calls all around my home, the system provides a level of clarity my previous system simply can't match.
It took about 7 hours for the cordless phones to fully charge, but once fully charged, Panasonic claims up to 10 hours of talk time (in eco mode). You also get audible alerts and visual notifications that the phones need to be recharged. The handsets also do double duty as a baby monitor, by placing a handset in the baby's room, which you can monitor from other rooms in your home.
Our home is 2100 square feet and we have free range in every corner of our home! NICE! The system is also expandable if the corded and two cordless phones don't meet your needs. You can use up to 6 handsets with this system.
As you can tell, I'm totally enamored with this phone system from Panasonic. If past history predicts the future, it will work reliably and last longer than most other systems you could buy. And that's what we all hope for in a phone system. Great service. Great features. And great durability. Yes, it is!

Philips is a brand I trust and I personally own several Philips health devices, from my CPAP Machine, to my Sonicare Toothbrush. To be honest, I'm not too fussy about shaving, but I do have a goatee and mustache. This OneBlade from Philips Trims, Edges and Shaves in one easily used convenient device. It's also waterproof, so you can use it the shower.
Out of the box, you need to charge it for about 8 hours. I was surprised to see it uses older NiMH Battery technology as opposed to Lithium Ion, but even though NiMH is older, it's still reliable and safe. Once charged, it can provide up to 45 minutes of use (so says Philips). I can't confirm that as I won't ever find myself in a situation which requires using this for 45 minutes. And when not being used, it will be plugged in to charge for the next use.
This is very simple to use. You get a 360 Blade, with fast moving blades, which move 200 times per second and moves in just about any direction to adjust to the contour of your face. You also get a 5 setting cutting comb, which you can use to trim hair, such as a beard or mustache. It comes with a USB (standard USB A, not USB C) cable, but no charging brick. Most of us have loads of charging bricks sitting idle in a drawer, so not an issue. And you get a cover for the blade, which protects it when not in use.
Blades are said to last up to 4 months before needing to be replaced. Philips suggests as you use the shaver, over time a replacement symbol will appear, which when fully visible lets you know it's time to replace the blade, which you can order from Philips or your BestBuy Store.
It comes with a full two year warranty, it's from Philips a name you can trust and is a nicely designed, simple to use grooming device.

This Symbodi Vertical Mounted Muscle Care System is simple and well made. They say it's the worlds first mountable massage ball and I'll have to take them for their word on that. It comes well packaged and with instructions which are easy to understand. It honestly can't be much simpler. The first thing you do is take the resting base off, push down the tension bar and lift the ball assembly off, then find a smooth (you cannot attach this to anything which is textured), place and pull the tension bar back up and it's attached. Ours is on a smooth flat tile wall.
Otherwise, it does what its supposed to do. You back up to it and it rolls to relieve tense muscles. I like it, but there are things it could have done much better. Muscles are all over our bodies. To be able to use it for multiple muscle groups, requires the device to be repositioned a LOT to reach areas needing attention. And while it's nice it's the worlds first mountable massage ball, it's ergonomics should have anticipated this. It's not exactly designed to be hand held. It should offer the option to mount it or use it in the hand.
Otherwise, it does what its advertised to do. But I'm not sure it's worth the price it cost given it's just a roller ball, you can attach to a wall with suction.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I can honestly say this Solo - Ambition Urban 17.3" Backpack is already the best backpack I've owned. It's attractive, durably made and has loads of storage options. I love the orange stitching which adds visual interest. I comes with a fully padded 17.3" compartment for your laptop, plus another compartment for an iPad or tablet. There are loads of pockets, which include two front pockets, two side zippered pockets. A back pocket is included, which you can securely place items you wouldn't want anyone to easily access. If you travel a lot, it includes a slip pocket to slide over luggage handles. The inside pockets all match the exterior stitching in bright orange and is a cool touch. The zippers seem heavy duty and operate very smoothly.
Wearing the backpack is very comfortable, with padded back shoulder straps, which can be easily adjusted based on your personal dimensions. There's a carry handle and carries 27 liters (7.13 gallons), which is a lot of space. The materials appear to be premium, but I don't know exactly what the backpack is made of, but it appears to be a high quality polyester material, which should be waterproof. I did some research and Solo Backpacks are highly regarded for durability, functionality, style and they back up their products with a 5 year warranty. That says a lot about the quality in itself.
For the price of admission, this is an awesome backpack, which holds your tech gear plus plenty of space for other items. You couldn't possibly go wrong with the Solo - Ambition, you can couldn't.

If You Suffer Back Pain - You Need This

This is my first experience with a product from Hyperice, but I feel pretty confident it won't be my last. To be honest, I wasn't particularly familiar with them, so I did a little research. Their Mission is simple - to help everyone on Earth move better, live better and be better. Their suite of products are all designed to help relieve tension, unlock sore muscles and prime your body and mind to be at your best.
This is about the Hyperice Venon 2 for back. It's really a well made, wonderful to use with simple, but intelligent operation. It's Bluetooth enabled and generates heat and massage to your back. It comes very nicely packaged and the first thing you do is plug it in to charge, with the supplied 18v charger. Included in the box are plug configurations for most electrical outlets around the world. It took about 1.5 hours to charge it up and a charge will provide up to 2.5 hours of use. The next thing you do is download the Hyperice App from either the Android or Apple App Stores. Connecting to Bluetooth was not quite as intuitive as I expected, but once I figured out the App needed an update specifically for the Venon 2 device, the app goes about connecting to Bluetooth and it is not necessary to switch over to settings to select the device there. There is a little LED light on the Venon Control module attached to the belt to let you know you are connected. And once you select the Venon 2 in the myriad devices Venon offers with Bluetooth connectivity, you can then create Routines and control the two primary buttons for heat and massage. There are three buttons on the control module. Heat - Power - Massage. You don't have to use the app as you can simply wrap the belt around your waist and choose up to three levels of heat and three levels of massage, from constant to two different vibration levels.
Heat is almost instantaneous and the massage levels perfect, not overpowering. You can set a session up easily in the App, including duration of the session and level of heat and massage pattern. I've used this now for a couple days and as someone who routinely suffers from lower back pain, I'm truly pleased with the results. This isn't something I'll only use occasionally. I'll use this several time a week to help reduce discomfort from back pain.
You get a quick start guide, which leaves a little to be desired, such as they should have included more information on how to pair the belt with your cell phone. You also get a legaleze type book, but to be honest, the print is so small, I'd need a magnifying glass to read it. The only nit I have about the Venon 2 is there is no case to keep it, the charging plug or any of the supplied literature. But a quick visit to the Hyperice site and they actually offer a case for $29 you can purchase. This is not an inexpensive heat/massage belt and for the price of admission, the case should have been included. Otherwise, this is a wonderful heat belt/massage, with simple, yet excellent performance. If you have back pain, I can honestly tell you this will be a wonderful health tool in your arsenal to combat pain.

Many stands which claim to be MagSafe really aren’t. They don’t charge at 15 watts. Sure, they’ll charge your iPhone, but when you attach your iPhone, you won’t see the MagSafe Charging Circle. But this 3-in-1 stand from Insignia is “Made for MagSafe” (MFM). What difference does that make? Made for MagSafe combines magnets and a NFC antenna, so your iPhone can recognize the charger and accept the full 15-watt rate of charge. This 3-in-1 Charging Stand comes well packaged and to be honest is about the most solid and best made stand I've owned yet. It has a quality feel in every respect. While I don't know the actual specifications it has to output 15 watts for the MagSafe iPhone charger. I don't know if the Apple Watch charger is the new faster watch charge standard for iPhone 7 and higher, but it is also certified for Apple Watch and my watch charges perfectly on it. The area for earbuds works with not only Apple AirPods, but any Qi standard charging case for earbuds with wireless charging cases. For example, it charges my Jabra Elite and Sennheiser Momentum earbuds perfectly.
There is a round flat touch button on the base of the charging stand for what Insignia calls “Turbo+ Cooling Technology.” The iPhone MagSafe charging puck is encircled by a whisper quiet fan designed to keep your phone cool as possible while charging. Simply touch the button and a blue LED light encircling the button turns on to let you know the fan is on. It’s actually a good thing there is a light. The fan is so quiet, you might not realize you left it on when the phone isn't charging.
The base is nicely weighted and wrapped in brushed aluminum and the metal stand with the arm to the left for the MagSafe charger and the arm to the right for the Apple Watch charger is made of real metal (no cheap plastic - imitation metal here). Smartly, Insignia didn't make the earbud charging area only fit Apple AirPod cases. They made it flat to accommodate any Qi earbud charging case. And a tiny little LED turns on when the charging base for earbuds is engaged.
The charging stand comes with everything you need, including a proprietary charging plug. This is good, but the only thing I would have wished for would have been to use USB C to USB C from the stand to the charging plug. If the proprietary plug ever fails, you'll have to order one from Insignia directly. Still, with a proprietary setup, there will never be an issue drawing the right current to charge three devices at one time.
Overall, I am quite impressed with this 3-in-1 Charging Stand from Insignia. It’s beautifully made and has a quality feel. It's truly “Made for MagSafe” and “Made for Apple Watch” and will charge just about any manufacturer’s earbud charging case. There’s so much to like here, and for me, is the perfect solution in a 3-in-1 Charging Stand. As far as I’m concerned, Insgnia hit a home run!

Hands down, the Logitech MX Master Series of mice are simply the best, without rival. I bought my first MX Master when the first generation was released a few years ago and that mouse is still in service today. I moved up to the MX Master 3s when it first came out, which is used on a PC. And now I have the great pleasure to use the MX Master 3s for Mac on my MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Pro. It differs in appearance by a Space Gray stripe down the side of the mouse (to better match the appears of a MacBook Pro), but otherwise looks identical. It also doesn't come with a USB Dongle, which isn't needed nor would it work on a modern Mac anyway. This is a Bluetooth Mouse exclusively.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a Logitech MX Master Mouse, you simply have no idea what you’re missing. It may seem odd to wax enthusiastic over a mouse, but the MX Master is worthy of such praise. And this newest MX Master 3s for Mac even more so.
Compared to my original MX Master, the MX Master 3s lighter and its way more ergonomic. It fits your hand so perfectly, as though it were an extension of it. I'm on my computer all day (and most nights) and the design ensures absolutely no mouse fatigue in any way. Logitech uses Premium Plastics, which seem virtually impervious to showing finger prints (Apple needs to take a lesson here for the plastic keys on their MacBook Pro keyboards, which are fingerprint magnets).
When you get MX Master 3s for Mac, it's packaged nicely, with the mouse nicely protected, and includes some little pamphlets, with print so small, you might need reading glasses to read. But no worries, it's so easy to set up and use, you really don't need anything. After removing the stuck on diagram for the features on the underside of the mouse, use the supplied USB C to USB C cable and plug it in to charge. It took about 1.5 hours to charge fully. There is a green light on the side, which blinks when charging and goes off when the mouse is fully charged. Speaking of charge, depending on how much time you use the mouse daily, it can last 70 or more days between charges. My experience with the MX Master 3s I already own is spot on in this regard.
The next thing to do is go to Logitech.com and download the Logitech Options App and choose the download for Mac. It's simple to download and you simply turn on the mouse using the power button on the underside of the mouse and light over number 1 (of three buttons) blinks and the Logitech Options, app will guide you through pairing it with your Mac. It was simple and paired immediately. From there, you click on the mouse and this is where the MX Master series shines above all other mice, you can then program every button and wheel to do exactly what you'd like them to do.
The top wheel, not only moves up and down the page, but it also functions as a button by depressing it. I programmed the button in the wheel to bring up the calculator. But there are many - MANY other options you could choose from, including taking a screenshot. Behind the scroll wheel is a rectangular button, which when depressed, lets the wheel spin freely without clicks. And when I say the wheel spins freely. IT SPINS FREELY, with no friction. You'll be able to move up and the down a page with speed unlike anything you have EVER experienced with any mouse. I don't think I could ever use a mouse wheel with clicks again. Nope. I just don't think I can.
There is a wheel on the side of the mouse, which I have programmed for volume up and down. Below that wheel are two elongated buttons, which I've programmed as forward and back. And finally, where your thumb rests, if you press there, it clicks and can be programmed as well, which I've set to open all open windows in one click to make it easier to move between open pages. There's just no mouse out there with this much customization.
The MX Master 3s for Mac, can be paired to operate three different devices. It's perfectly matched to Mac and iPad. To switch between paired devices, you simply press the 1, 2 or 3 buttons on the underside of the mouse. This mouse can scan up to 8000 DPI, for ultra-smooth and accurate scrolling. One of the best upgrades over previous MX Master Mice is how incredibly quiet the 3s is. You can’t hear the wheels scroll. More importantly, you can’t hear the right or left mouse clicks. How refreshing to have a mouse which does so much, yet so quietly.
Simply said Logitech MX Master 3s for Mac has no rival. NONE. ZIP. NADDA. The original MX Master was fantastic. The 3s even more amazing. Can you buy decent mice for less money? Sure, but if you want the best there is, the price of admission is more than worth it and the fact my original MX Master is still going strong more than 3 years later, the 3s should live as long and provide even more amazing performance.

Does the semi-open buds stop occlusion?

Do these headphones come with a fiber optic cable
No, if you want to connect them via digital optical cable, you'll have to buy one. I bought one, but couldn't get them to work via the optical cable, so I used the RCA to headphone jack, which worked just fine.
