What's great about it: Solid/reliable/low power usage
What's not so great: Can't think of anything
I used this HD to replace my stock HD in a 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2008). Works in both OSX 10.6.8 and 10.8.5 at a link speed of 3GB/sec. Tried a seagate drive that was 3/6Gb/sec but it did not work in OSX 10.6.8. Although this drive is slower, it's a solid choice for older MacBook Pros.
I recommend getting the enclosure. Use it with the "Restore" utility on OSX to transfer current HD to new HD (USB). THEN, install the drive. OSX will boot up nicely and you WON'T need Time Machine, Migration Assistant, or a reinstall of OSX and apps.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this enclosure support UASP

I have a drive and USB 3.0 port that support UASP, i just don't have an enclosure that does?
Correct. This enclosure does not support UASP. It's not meant to be a beefy enclosure. It's a low cost enclosure that supports USB 3.0 and is USB powered.
