I bought it for a trip to Hawaii for snorkeling trip, and it froze up even before I started. It worked the week prior but not at the most important time. Of course, this was very disappointing. I took it back to Best Buy and was able to exchange it for a future order of the newest addition.

I would recommend this to a friend!

How long does the battery last? and does it come with a charger

It does come with a charging cable. The battery will vary greatly depending on how much you record. Expect a maximum of one hour.
