What's great about it: Simulated Surroud Sound
What's not so great: Not TruHD Surround Sound; No bluetooth
After working at Best Buy for a few years, I understand certain products have thinner margins the others(i.e. - Apple, Bose, etc). I spoke with 3 different sales associates and they each attempted talking me into the Sonos Playbar (2x) and the Sony Soundbar. I did somemore research on these products and they have valid arguments against Bose.
Having said everything, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Bose has the crispest and most detailed sound while providing a simulated 5.1 surround sound in our home. Great movie watching experience and the baseball crack off of the bat makes you feel as if you were at the ball game.
Word to the wise. Make sure your TV HDMI does not disable your optical audio output. There is no other way to hook up the sound bar except using optical audio. It does not have bluetooth so you are unable to stream from your phone, iPad, etc. However, if you have DirecTV then turn to the Pandora app. Simple as that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Wireless & Unique
What's not so great: Expensive
I have a condo where it is next to impossible to run speaker wires through the walls. It is a great solution to conceal the wires and keep the house from looking "tacky." I hooked up the wireless speaker kit with my Yamaha receiver and Polk Audio surround sound speakers. It sounds crystal clear as if it were hooked directly to the receiver. I bought this item on sale for $89.99 (reg. $109.99). It is a little pricey for what it is so make sure you buy it when it is on sale. It is truly unique and a great solution for any home theater set up!

Speakers and Sound Bar

Is it possible to use the Cinemate 1SR sound bar with these speakers? and if so will the sound come out of both at the same time and make it better or will it be echoed?
You cannot hook up any peripheral speaker to this system. It is a soundbar intended for Audio output from a Television.

Purchase a Bose 5.1 speaker set-up with a Denon TruHD reciever if you want the greatest sound possible.

The draw back is that you have to deal with all the wires.
