This item went on sale last summer for about $175 from BestBuy and other sellers so I snapped one up. It sounds very good for its size, and the added portability with battery power are great. At a full price of $399, however, the Libratone Zipp is a much, much better value. I have one, and the sound is amazing (very deep bass), and the battery life is better. Plus, it's got AirPlay and PlayDirect support.
I would recommend this to a friend!

How do I pair my MacBook OS X with the Harman/Kardon?

I have a MacBook OS X 10.6.8. I press the indicated start and bluetooth buttons and nothing happens.
After you put the Onyx Studio in "discoverable" mode by holding down the button(s) as described in the manual, you should be able to see it listed in the System Preferences "Bluetooth" panel. Select it there, and it should pair. Be aware that once you pair the Onyx with one device, you'll need to tell that device to forget it, or temporarily turn off Bluetooth on it, if you want the Onyx to pair with some other device such as your phone.
