What's great about it: Win8.1, Xbox Music, multitask, SkyDrive, Office, USB 3.0, battery life, and the type covers with back lit capabilities!
What's not so great: Nothing so far
This device is great and once you get the feel for how it flows you will absolutely love it. My husband encouraged I get this instead of an IPad (we have a 3rd gen that went out) and I played with Windows 8.1 on his computer and really fell in love with how it operated. It is very smooth and allows me to do multiple things at one time. I can Skype mom and work in OneNote for my job. Awesome! I also picked up the Type Cover 2 keyboard and a Arc mouse for when I work at home. I love having the desktop available as well so I can transfer pictures, videos, and files to my external drive with ease! Overall I am loving my Surface 2!!!!!
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, lightning fast, Perfect for Business, Variety of apps available, A nice compact size, Easy to navigate, Great screen size, Comfortable to hold
About me... Budget Conscious, Parent with kids, traveler, Comfortable with technology

Can I use an external hard drive with the Surface 2 (32G)?

Can I increase the memory/capacity of the Surface 2 (32G) by using/connecting to an external hard drive?
Yes it has USB 3.0 built right into the device! It's fast and awesome! I use an external TB western digital drive. Windows 8.1 allows you to add folders to your folders from external drives. So when you plug in your external drive and say you have 100 GB of music on there. You can sync that drive to your music folder and it will pick it up automatically whenever you plug up your external drive, and it doesn't use any space on your device.
