It is primarily for the kids

What's great about it: Easy to use. Simple layout for children.
What's not so great: Screen quality. Limited viewing angles, not so great speakers
My iPad 4 suffered much abuse at the hands of my two year old boy and three year old girl. After that I was on the hunt for a device that could handle their destructive habits. My brother recommended the Nabi 2 so I went to do research. Eventually, I decided that other Android devices were a tad too grown in their design. Also, an iPad Mini was out of the question because of the cost to durability concern.
Upon opening up the Nabi 2 out the box brand new, us adults and techies may be a little underwhelmed. In Nabi mode you are greeted with a blue tiled background and huge icons. After hitting the options button and going to parent mode you have a device that tries to be an android device but it is severely hampered. There is initially no Google Play and the Nabi App Store does not provide the myriad of content titles my kids were used to on the ipads and iphones.
My first recommendation is to perform the two part update. That update adds all the Google features that were once only accessible through rooting the device. With Google Play store in hand, the Nabi really positions itself as one of the better options for children's tablets. Some apps for the Play store may not work as well on the Nabi as other droid devices but it is not bad at all.
At $179 the device exceeds its price-point in terms of what you get for the price. You get better than average tablet computing for you kids.
Another main thing I would like to stress is to consider the device for a child and not an adults. I do not believe kids are worried about processor speeds or average to mediocre response times. Nabi 2 has great response time by the way. The screen resolution could be better, a sharper screen and better viewing angles would also be appreciated in future models but the Nabi does meet the needs of the children. The onscreen keyboard is pretty cool and sometimes I do find myself in parent mode surfing around on it. It's actually a pretty nice device. One downfall that is what it is, is the speakers. The Nabi does not boost the best speakers. They are oddly positioned and the do not carry very well to the user. Maybe that is where the headphone push comes in. Otherwise it is a hit. As an adult, I am a bit bothered at the inability to change the lock screen image. However, my kids slide it right up and are off to the races.
Even though most of them are lite versions, the preloaded apps are well thought out and my kids enjoy them. I did go ahead and download some of the other apps they were already familiar with like Cut the Rope, Minion Rush, among others. My kids are now upset every time we take it from them. It's our new bargaining chip in getting them to do what we need them to do.
I love it and I endorse it for the kids.

What's great about it: The brand and capacity
What's not so great: Nothing
A bought this flash drive to go with a recently bought camcorder and it passes the test. I've always been a SanDisk fan and again they don't disappoint. There isn't much you can physically do to mess an SD Card up. This is always a great buy.
This product has... Reliable, Large capacity/good size
About me... Need storage for large media files

What is the age limits for the Nabi 2

The box says 4 - 40 but I have a 2 and 3 year old that are pretty proficient on it. I heard an employee at Best Buy say that her 17 month old grand kid had one.
