What's great about it: Mobility, speed, functionality, multiple apps visible at once
What's not so great: App choice, not as intuitive as other tabs
I did a lot of research before I purchased a tab. Most reviews for the surface, here on BB and other sites mostly revolve around personal problems with the tab (ie. not intuitive, lack of apps, don't like it). Due to the nature of the reviews being personal issues I chose the surface 2.
My take is that while there is a learning curve to controlling the options, and there aren't as many apps, the surface is a good comparable tab. It is fast, holds it's internet connection well, expandable memory, has the ability to have multiple apps up at one time, skydrive, windows products come standard, automatic updating of apps, and depending on what keyboard you get, backlit keys.
The thing you have to keep in mind with the surface2 is that you will have to spend some time learning how to control the options. There isn't much at all in the way of documentation, so if you aren't good with figuring things out on your own, this may not be the right fit for you.
It is also important to keep in mind that there is a distinction to be made between the function of a tablet and the function of a PC. This tablet is a great replacement for my old laptop, and a great addition to my computing ability. As a platform to use on the go to complete basic tasks it performs adequately.

Can I download and use Dropbox since I currently use that on my android and laptop and desktop?
Yes, there is an official dropbox app on the Microsoft store.
