As expected this sub-woofer covers and differentiates the sounds lower on the spectrum. It makes a huge difference plugging this in and watching a movie, playing video games, or listening to music.

Polk is a brand that my friend highly recommended to me. When I did connect these speakers I was surprised to find how much sound they produced. They produced a surprising amount of bass for such small speakers.

powerful party speakers for laptop
haveing a party and my brother is the (DJ) so i want something that has alot of sound for a decetn price. also an added woofer would be nice.
This is advice for more professionally-minded DJs who use Controllers, mixers, and the programs (VirtualDJ, Serato, and Traktor). Use PA Speakers which are very specific because they boast power in decibel, Hz, and watt output. There are two types: active and passive. Active sustains its own power. Passive requires a receiver (and not your home audio one). Both have woofers installed in them usually. PA speakers usually go for several pretty pennies and receivers can range from around 90$ to several hundred. Now if your just going to create a playlist from iTunes or choose a mood from Songza, then you could probably get away with these and a woofer. You would need a basic home audio reciever for these speakers as they require copper wire.

can these speakers be hooked-up to a tv
Home audio speakers are capable of such. If the only connection available through the speakers is through copper connector you will need an audio receiver to connect the speakers and the television through. If you cannot find one laying around your house, many people sell them at garage sales and they go for pretty cheap online.
