I did not start out with the intention of purchasing this model of washing machine. In fact, it wasn't even on my radar as an option because the $1300 price was quite prohibitive for me. I was actually shopping Labor Day sales for a model several levels below this one, but that machine had a couple things that made me hesitate, so I hadn't actually made my purchase the first time I shopped. The day before the sale ended, having not yet made a purchase but knowing the huge discount would end soon, I was online reading reviews, and something made me check "scratch & dent" options in my local stores, where I found this machine on sale for $824. Visited the store and discovered there was indeed a small scratch on the machine but nothing that made it look bad at all. The store was also running a special where open box items were an additional 15% off, and I had a couple Rewards coupons, as well as a 10% off coupon Best Buy had emailed to me. After all of my discounts (including a local utility rebate), this machine ended up costing me about $550 instead of $1300, so that purchase was a no-brainer! That was less than I'd planned to spend on the model several levels down!
So having gotten this great deal, I went home to measure whether it would fit in my washer/dryer room - NOTE: this washer is 3" wider & deeper than the standard has been for years now, so don't buy it without measuring!! Fortunately, although I did buy it without measuring, it did fit, but I won't be able to get the matching dryer in there & will have to purchase a lower model that's only 27" wide.
With respect to its features, the washer runs very well and is easy to operate. I haven't had a chance to try all the cycles yet, but the ones I have tried have worked very well. The basin is HUGE. It has more than a cubic foot of space more than my old one had, and that actually threw me off for quite a while because I was used to the amount of clothing I could fit into the washer, but I'd throw that amount into the new washer & it would still only be half full! But because of all that extra space, I'm now able to launder bedding that I could never fit into the older washer, and that is great for me!
The only cons I've discovered so far are that the water doesn't drain entirely out of the detergent cup, for some reason. I haven't had a chance to call Samsung to ask whether there's a reason for this (like maybe I need to adjust the feet so it sits on a different angle or something??) And it's not a deal breaker, but I just hate the idea of water sitting there after a load runs, in a place where I know from past experience with this style of detergent dispenser, I'm going to have to watch for mildew. The only other con is that it does seem to be a little more sensitive than my older washer to balance issues. I've only had it go out of balance once so far, but it was just on a load of towels, which was quite odd to me!
One other thing I'll mention - it's not a problem for me because I'm quite tall - but if you're shorter, you'll have issues reaching the entire basin. This model is supposed to make that issue slightly less problematic, but it's still a challenge, even for me!!
Overall, this is as great machine, and I'd recommend it to anyone who asks. It was certainly the best deal for me, given the super price I was able to get on mine!

First of all, let me say that I have never used these headphones. This is a "Mom" review, from the parent tasked with keeping the teenager happy with his gaming setup. As far as I know, the teenager loves these headphones. He picked them out specifically, and we got a great deal through my Elite membership. Having had the PS3 version of this headset in the household (still have it, actually), I was very tentative about buying this PS4 model, because we'd had nothing but trouble with the PS3 ones. Sony was very good about warranty replacements, but nevertheless, we dealt with them A LOT with the PS3 ones, before finally just giving up once the warranty expired. So this time around, I bought the Best Buy warranty. That said, though, he's used this headset RELENTLESSLY for about 6 months now, and we have not had a single issue. No connectivity issues, no sound issues, none of the stuff that plagued us with the PS3 version. So even though I haven't had this thing on my head even once, I cannot begin to say how grateful I am to NOT have to be calling Sony every 3 months to file yet another warranty claim. That in and of itself makes this purchase one of the most worthwhile headset purchases ever!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Season 2 of this involving crime drama continues to chronicle the exploits of an ex-con who assumes the identity of a lawman named Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) in the small, out-of-the-way Pennsylvania town of Banshee. The season kicks off with the arrival of an FBI special agent (Zeljko Ivanek) who opens an investigation into the vicious shootout between Hood and New York mob czar Rabbit (Ben Cross), whom the "lawman" once double-crossed, and metes out his own brand of justice. Hood's former partner-on-crime, Carrie ( Ivana Milicevic), tries to patch up things with husband, Gordon (Rus Blackwell), and daughter, Deva (Ryann Shane ), but is spurned. Meanwhile, a horrific murder triggers problems between the Amish community and the Kinaho tribe, and during the investigation, Lucas and his deputies confront an unruly gang of Kinaho bikers. Local crime kingpin Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen) takes matters into his own hands and delivers a peace offering to the Kinaho in hopes of cooling off the hostilities between the two groups. In the Season 2 finale, Lucas and Carrie head to New York, where they prep for a final showdown with Rabbit.

I had to be convinced to watch this show initially, but I found I really enjoyed it. It has a decent blend of action, violence, suspense, adult scenes, etc., without getting too "gratuitous" with any of it, in my opinion, which I appreciated, especially after viewing some of the other premium series which seemed to have only one (adult) theme! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series, now that Dexter is gone (sigh)!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've used this device for about 6 months now. In comparing it to devices I've used before (which were not combo cable modem/router units), I would say that I feel there's more of a "lag" in the wireless connections I get from this device than I've gotten from previous devices. I also seem to experience brief issues with disconnects. I'm not sure whether that's my cable company or the device, but the way it happens, I think it's the device. And there are definitely periods where the signal meter on my laptop only registers 4 out of 5 bars (sitting 10 feet from the device), when it easily read a solid 5 out of 5 bars with my previous router.
But other than those issues, I'd say this device gets the job done. I haven't had any major outage issues, and it's a DOCSIS 3.0 device, which I needed due to a cable service upgrade in my area.
And just a random frustration . . . after installing the device & attempting to log into it to change the network name, etc., I found that the default user name & password printed in the instruction manual would not work. Ended up having to call customer service (and the guy was actually kind of rude), only to find out that they'd had an error printing the instructions & the default info was something entirely different from what's printed in the manuals. Kind of crazy!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Told to upgrade modem with Cox.

Do I need to or should I purchase a modem/router unit or just the new 3.0 modem and continue to use my current router?

If you consider your current router to be pretty good, I'd just purchase the cable modem rather than this combo unit. I personally think the router on this combo unit isn't very good. I only switched to the combo unit because I was having issues with my super-speedy $140 Netgear router not wanting to connect to my wireless HP printer. Googling led me to several forums about how HP & Netgear don't like to "play nicely together in the sandbox," so I thought perhaps a wholesale switch to Motorola would help. It did help the printer issues, but I feel like my wireless network speed slowed dramatically with this router compared to the Netgear one I used previously, and even compared to the ancient Linksys (G) router I used prior to that Netgear! Hope that helps!
