This is a great follow up to a great series...I enjoy the early Drake sequences

What's great about it: Sound
What's not so great: HDMI Passthrough
I owned this receiver for about a week. The receiver looks great on paper with an abundance of connections, ample power and many of the latest features. However this AVR did not interface well with my components. Once powered down, the receiver would scramble the HDMI output and blocked the video signal to my TV, while needing to be unplugged for a reset. Upon research, I found that this is a very common issue that Sony refuses to acknowledge. All firmware was up to date and after various tests I am certain this was an issue with the receiver not my other devices. In the end, there is no point in having a $600 HD receiver with no video output.

Is this receiver 3D Ready?

Wanting to upgrade my TV to a larger tv with 3D abilities. Does this have that feature?
Yes this receiver theoretically has 3D and 4K passthrough.
