This is a great little laptop if you're looking for something to toss in a bag and mostly do light web-browsing / email / basic tasks.
Most laptops / Netbooks in this price range lack a decent display / touch pad / decent keyboard. However, I was quite impressed with the viewing angles of the TN display and overall build quality of this little Netbook. The Display is a a nice matte (anti-glare) that is bright and accurate, they keyboard is comfortable for an 11" and the touch pad is also decent as well.
If you know what you're doing; I recommend removing all the pre-installed bloatware (Dell Registration / Dell Help and Support / Etc) as well as McAfee since it is only the trial and Windows 10 already has a free anti-virus built in.
It's a tiny little dual-core processor so removing all the unnecessary stuff keeps CPU usage low so you can actually watch YouTube videos without stuttering. I use "Pale Moon" as my web browser and it works great on this computer. Pale Moon is a very lightweight browser that won't bog down your CPU / Ram like chrome.
I also turned off the majority of visual tweaks in Windows 10 to increase performance further.
Battery life is AMAZING! Seriously, used it all day and had 55% left when I went to plug in..
Speakers are pretty poor, but can be improved with the Dell Audio manager.. I selected "gaming" and they are louder, but not that great..
I just use it for transferring files between devices at work mostly and helping customers reset their passwords.
It's a great laptop for its price. I still like my previous HP Stream better tho, except this does have a much better display.
Consider this a great "burner" laptop and not the laptop you'll be using for the next 6years... Lol

What's great about it: Looks Pretty, It works.
What's not so great: One of the two was defective.
I bought two of these for use in a computer that I recently built for my dad. I was having trouble with BSODs (blue screen of death) and the computer failing to boot. Caused a whole afternoon of confusion and headaches. After multiple boots swapping out each stick of ram I finally diagnosed the issue to one stick being the culprit. I've purchased many sticks of RAM in the past and never encountered faulty stick. I will exchange it since I at least have the one stick that works. If you're considering 8gb of ram you should really spend the extra couple of bucks and get the PNY perfromance series. It's faster and probaby a better quality product. Despite this issue I think that PNY still makes a quality product. After all, even Toyotas have service departments.
The real question is would I recommend? Yes, I guess if you're on a budget and need some basic and affordable ram.

What's great about it: Screen cover, comfortable to hold
What's not so great: Silicone on edges discolors quickly.
This is a great case at first it looks very nice on my white iPad mini, but three weeks into it I can already see that the edges where my hand usually grips the case the silicone is starting to turn yellow and dingy. My hands are always clean too, and I wipe the case with antibacterial wipe about once a week but it still shows use. Love the case but they need to make the silicone a different color that won't yellow with use. Perhaps gray....

What's great about it: Comfortable, Responsive Touch Screen, Feels Solid,
What's not so great: Camera, Poor Screen Viewing Angles, Lack of Accessories
So I'm basing my review of this product on the "off and on" sale price of $99, which is realistically what I think it's worth. I would never see paying $199 for it. I think Best Buy / Insignia is onto something with this product and with some clever marketing and a few future improvements they'll have a solid product.
The Good: I like the the feel of the tablet. It's stainless steel back and comfortable weight is perfect. The construction quality seems very good. The glass screen and aluminum back feels of the iPad quality. I like the feel of it much better than my $349 Samsung Note 8" which by comparison feels kinda cheap and flimsy.
Performance is good, it's fast enough, but a future model with a Nvidia Tegra Processor and some more RAM would be nice.. Expandable memory is great, I have a 32gb Micro SD in mine. For most a cheap 8 or 16 gigabyte micro-sd would be fine.
The Bad: The Screen quality leaves something to be desired, I was not impressed initially but after a few hours of use I became used to it and it no longer bothers me. However for anyone expecting a display of the iPad or Galaxy Tab quality, look elsewhere. On the plus side the screens actually clarity is good (1024x768), and is very responsive and accurate as far as it's touch capability.
My biggest complaint is the lack of accessories. No Screen protectors, No case, No Sleeves, Nothing. I bought a ZAGG smudge-proof screen protector for an iPad air and cut it to fit.
Summary; All things considered, if you can catch it on sale for around $99 dollars and you want a simple web browsing tablet I say go for it. Don't have iPad expectations though. Best Buy would have a killer product if they made a few improvements to the screen and processor, and If they could hit the $99-149 price point and have accessories available for it too they would have an outstanding product. That would give all other budget tablets a run for it's money.
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, Perfect for Business, Variety of apps available, A nice compact size, Easy to navigate, Great screen size, Comfortable to hold

I'm a Best Buy employee and decided to spend some gift cards for a fun weekend project. Got in the attic and installed 4 of these in my garage. Hadn't heard them as our store doesn't have them on display. Didn't expect much but these really do sound very good. My folks have a house wired up with Klipsch and Control4 and I must say these have a very impressive range and full natural sound much like theirs. Any poor reviews must have a low quality amplifier or possibly maybe wired up incorrectly. These definitely will raise some eyebrows. I typically always recommend Polk, or even the Yamahas for a little more but these truly are a bargain. Even the Klipsch we sell don't have the directional tweeters like these do. Lastly as a side note I will say that I also put fiberglass insulation above them to help improve the audio quality. Give them a try unless you're really picky you won't be disappointed.

What's great about it: Picture Quality, Aesthetics, Smart Apps, 3D, Connections
What's not so great: Finicky Remote, Default Picture Presets
I bought this TV about a month ago having wanted it for months before that. I've worked in Cedar Rapids Best Buy Home Theater for 4 years and I consider myself to be very knowledgeable when it comes to TV / Home theater solutions. That being said just like most of us I had a budget in mind and a Samsung 8000 or Panasonic ZT-60 was out of the question. I've never been a fan of Vizio TVs in the past but I think they hit it out of the park with their M-Series line-up of televisions. For $799 Vizio is offering you a sleek and stylishly thin-profiled TV with 1080P, 240Hz, 3D and Smart Capability as well as 4 HDMI inputs. A comparably priced Samsung 6000/6003 will lack most of these features, only have 2 HDMI inputs, no 3D, etc. For this price point you can't find a better TV.. This Vizio also offers "localized dimming" which is only offered in the Samsung 7100, and up which costs $1299 for the 47" model. The bad on this TV? Ok, she ain't perfect but find me a TV that is.. The remote is touchy and that you have to have it pointed straight at the TV for it to work. Other minor issues... This TV has a semi-gloss display which like similar Samsungs / LGs it offers a deeper contrast but as result will appear to have a little more glare. Lastly the default video setting presets are pretty lousy. Game, "Calibrated" , Vivid, Standard. I ended up having mine professionally calibrated for (gulp) yes, $249 but once it's calibrated you have an INCREDIBLE picture that meets ISF specifications with less than a 3% color error. What does that mean? It means if you're really looking for the best picture having Best Buy calibrate your TV in your home will make watching all your TV shows, Movies and especially sports look as true to life as possible. And yes you're still money ahead after a calibration vs a Non-Calibrated Samsung. One other little note I'd like to add is that this TV as well as every Samsung / LG / Sony / Toshiba / Etc. has a "smooth motion" or "motion plus" feature that's typically what the 120hz / 240hz is referring to. It gives you this "soap-opera" effect and makes your TV shows and movies look too "true to life" or that they were shot with a home video camera. You can disable this (and I absolutely recommend you do) in the advanced picture settings. They all call it something different so refer to your owners manual. I'll wrap this up by saying it's an outstanding TV for the price. Is it the best out there? Absolutely not. I'd say its the Chrysler 300 of TVs. I hope you've found this review helpful and feel free to come purchase your next TV from me (Adam R) in Best Buy Cedar Rapids!
This product has... Useful Internet-enabled features, Easy to set up, Great value and features for the price, Right number of connections, Easy to use remote control, benefits greatly with a isf calibration

What's great about it: Bluetooth, Bass, Connections, Sound Quality, External Subwoofer connections option,
What's not so great: Display can be hard to see from distance
I'm a Best Buy employee and purchased this for the 46" LED in our living room. (The 65" and surround sound is in the basement..) I've been very impressed with Vizio's 2.1 / 5.1 soundbar systems but I didn't need the subwoofer or rear speakers. First impressions, the sound is very impressive, clear highs and very good amount of bass (more than one would expect considering this model does not have a sub. ) I love that this model has Bluetooth wireless audio for your smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. Also if you have Directv it is VERY easy to program your DTV remote to control the vizo soundbars volume via the DTV remote setup menu. This sound bar also has every possible connection you could need (including a subwoofer out), with all cables included. Vizio is very good about packing in a lot of features and at a lower price point than other manufactures while not compromising quality. A nice feature about this soundbar is that it will automatically reduce the volume to a comfortable level eliminating the need to adjust to volume constantly during loud commercials, action movies, etc. It also will adjust the EQ while listening to music so you can listen to music at full volume without the bass distorting the speakers. The bad, is that unlike the more expensive models the remote with this one does not have an LCD screen allowing you to see what input you're on. Instead you use the LED lights on the device itself which is easy enough to understand but can be hard to see from the couch. I'm not preaching to say it's the best out there but for anyone who wants better audio than what your TV has to offer this should be your first choice. Otherwise for a little more you can have the larger system with the Subwoofer ($249) and also the system with the wireless rear speakers($329). I want to be clear that I'm not saying vizio has the "end-all" sound solutions but for the price point there really isn't a whole lot else out there that sounds as good as these and packs as many connections and features. It's interesting because years ago when I worked at Target I hated all of Vizio's products and these days I'm recommending them almost every day. Hope this helps in your quest for better audio. -Adam R Best Buy Store #20

My network is working but.....

I have set up my tablet and connected to my home network. It works with all my other devices but when I try to connect this tablet to the update server it gives me an error message that the network is not working and I need to check my network. What might be the cause of the message and how could I fix it. Mind you the internet works on the tablet.
Mine does this too, not exactly sure. I'm guessing Insignia hasn't released a "signed" update for the latest android version, and thus the "connection failed" message.

Can you use Amazon gift card for apps for the Insignia?

No, the apps on the device are in the Google Play store, not Amazon. You can however use it to buy books in the Kindle bookstore for the Kindle app which is a free download out of the Google Play Store.

I need the template cutout for the NS-C6500 Ceiling speakers

They should have been included with your speakers when you bought them. Second option would be to go ask a store associate if you can open a box and trace the template onto a sheet of blank paper. That or maybe buy another set use the template and replace it for the next person and return them. Keep the package as intact as possible for the next person that buys them. :)
