What's great about it: ease of use, supports smart
What's not so great: uhhhh
I got this dock so that I could quickly pop in SATA hard drive to either provide removable storage or testing. The last adapter that I had did not support smart which helps a lot with testing of hard drives. This dock does support it. I have only used the USB connection because the computers that I am currently using do not have a esata connection. I am very happy with this dock. I like the on/off button in the back. (Use after "safe removal" of the hard drive, of course) The biggest hard drive that I am using with it is a 2TB.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: So far dependable
What's not so great: Average speed not that great.
I bought one of these and one of the Samsung ones. Same class 10 and 32GB. I used Disk Utility in Ubuntu to benchmark them. The Sandisk speed was all over the place. Writing was as low as 1MB/s up to 13MB/s average being 3.9MB/s. Reading for the Sandisk was pretty steady at about 20MB/s. But the Samsung one was steady as rock at 12MB/s for writing and reading was a steady 20MB/s. So I ended up putting the Samsung one in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. After running this test, I got curious and took my Sandisk 16GB Class 10 out of my phone and tested it. It had the same erractic heartbeat pattern as the 32GB version writing was as low as 700KB/s and averaging 1.9MB/s.
This product has... Reliable, Slow recording/download speed, Attractive design/portable, Large capacity/good size

Will this fit my Sony VAIO VPCEF34FX 17.3

My friend told me my hard drive need to be replace will this one solve my problem
Yes, that drive should work. I would personally upgrade the drive to a SSD drive, if I had to replace the drive. SSD drives are a LOT faster than HDD drives. But they are also more expensive. The bottleneck on most computers today are the hard drives because they are slow. To boot up a computer might take 1 to 3 minutes at least before everything finishes loading up on your desktop. With SSD, it's reduced to about 15 to 30 seconds. This is all dependent on your computer, but believe me you will see a big difference. Also opening programs will be faster. You will especially notice this on any bigger programs such as games and quickbooks. If you google SSD versus HDD, you can a lot of information regarding it.

Western Digital taken from iMac is not booting up with my Docking Station

When I put my internal WD 2500JS drive into my BlackX Thermaltake docking system, the drive is not recognized or damaged, get only clicking sounds.... what solution to solve as I need data on the drive.
Clicking sounds are not a good sign. That is usually the Click of Death. There are a couple of suggestions if you google that, but be careful trying them and if you do get it to come on, you HAD BETTER have an immediate way to copy the data off because there is no guarantee of how long it will last. If the data is that important to you, you might consider taking it to a professional to get the data off.
