What's great about it: Funnest charging cable
What's not so great: Stopped working
This was initially great - fun to watch, lights slow down as phone becomes more charged, and a great reminder that you have left your phone charging (& that it's done). Unfortunately it only worked intermittently after about a month - sometimes when I plugged it in it didn't work, but sometimes after a few times it did. After about 2 weeks it ddin't work at all. Such a shame as I really liked it for that very short time. At least it let me know straight away it wasn't working - when I plugged it into a usb port it flashed for a couple of seconds anyway, but when I connected the phone it didn't flash and the phone confirmed it wasn't charging.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is this a charging cable?

This is my second cable, and it does not consistently keep charging my iPhone or ipad mini, nor does the cable stay lit. What am I missing here? What is this cable's primary purpose?
The product is advertised as a charging cable AND syncing cable. My first and only one was disappointing.

Will it work with the iphone 5c.

It should.
