What's great about it: Picture quality, cool extras
What's not so great: Glitchy, battery issues, cheaply made
I upgraded to the s4 from an Iphone. I did my research before buying this and it seemed to fit what I was looking for in a phone. Went to Best Buy and picked it out. First day: LOVED IT. Had a lot of fun getting used to the android system again after IOS for the last 2 years....was kind of refreshing! Charged it after letting battery run down. Day 2: Battery was definitely depleting faster, couldn't figure out why...running apps were closed and nothing running in background. Also, I would touch the email icon and the phone would reboot....touched the text message icon and the screen would go black. Not every time but definitely more than once. Returned it and Best Buy was very helpful and exchanged it for another one. I figured I must have just had one of those bad ones.
Second phone: Battery issue happened AGAIN by the 3rd day I was getting about 8 hours of battery without having any email on there to check, talk time 12 minutes, and having sent 11 texts total. Again, running apps closed. Took it in and they were finding that the google play store and other apps were opening back up on their own and running no matter how many times they were closed manually. I don't know what was going on. I've only every talked to one other person with an issue with this phone; everyone else seems to love it. I am hoping that I just had the bad luck of 2 bad phones and that noone else has to deal with it! I can say that Best Buy was VERY helpful with fixing it over all. I ended up with an LG G2 in the end and am very pleased with it so far.

What's great about it: quality, battery, menus
What's not so great: screen doesn't light up when a text comes in
My husband and I had an Iphone 4s, which I SWORE I would never want to trade in. I was really happy with that phone. Then came IOS 7....which completely changed everything (for the worse!). We went to Best Buy to upgrade and looked at what was available. My husband picked the HTC One and I got a Samsung Galaxy s4. He loved his phone and I thought I had a good phone. Long story short, I went through 2 Galaxy phones in a week. Both glitched and battery life was beyond poor! (6-10 hours from full charge to >10%) When I had to bring back the SECOND Galaxy, I was pretty frustrated. We talked to one of the sales guys and he brought our attention to the LG....which thank goodness he did because there were no displays for it in the Verizon section so I had no clue it was available. Honestly, I owned one LG phone and, although I LOVE their TVs and sound systems, I was not a fan of their phone. But my mind is changed. Battery life is amazing, very quick, very smooth and I think it's visually more appealing than the Samsung...I LOVE IT. Just a really well put together phone.

what's the advantage of getting phones at bestbuys?
I'm not sure who your carrier is but I have had Verizon for about 10 years. I dreaded going into the Verizon stores but didn't know I had another choice. Stumbled on the phone section at Best Buy and have not set foot in a Verizon store since!!! They can do everything that the carrier store can do...change your plan, upgrade the phone...you name it. AND sometimes their phones are cheaper! The people at Best Buy have been far more helpful and getting accessories is much easier and cheaper. Also, their "geek squad" protection plan is MUCH better than the Verizon insurance plan for your phone. Overall, yeah, sometimes you have to wait to be helped but the same applies at a Verizon store. It's just a more complete experience and the people at Best Buy have, over all, seemed to know more about the phones than Verizon. Just my opinion...
