I bought this about a month ago and have since printed maybe 10 pages. I'm studying and trying to print out 2 pages...*2 PAGES*, but apparently the black ink cartridge is empty. Or broken. Or missing. I've "reinstalled" it as it suggests, but it does not work. I cannot print. I had the same idiocy with my last HP printer that up and died. I've been loyal to HP printers for 15 years. I will NEVER own another one again!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm coming from using an UP24. I didnt need all of the souped-up features of the other smartwatches on the market (tempting tho). My primary reason for getting this is the HRM. I find it to be very accurate. I recorded my heart rate along with my doctor and it was off by one. Steps are pretty accurate as well, records them better than the UP24, altho I'm not sure if I'm recording more steps due to general movement.
You can customize your notifications, which I find useful to see who's calling before bothering with looking for my phone.
All in all it is a great device and is a good start for me having my first "smartwatch".
I would recommend this to a friend!

Continuous Heart Rate?
Does this device continuously tells you your heart rate or do you have to hold your finger on the device?
it reads your heart rate from your wrist. when in "exercise" mode, it monitors continuously (sort of). You have to wake the screen to show what your heart rate is. Normally you chose the mode and it will get a reading.

I need a samsung device just to set it at the beginning, after that you normally use without a samsung device ??
This needs to use a Samsung device. The Gear S does not need a device.

Can you go swimming with Gear Fit?
I would like to know if this product is really water resistant and if anyone use it for swimming.
From the Samsung Gear Fit page:
"*Water-resistant and dustproof based on IP67 Rating, which tests submersion up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Not shockproof. Covers must be tightly closed. "

Can my gear fit sync with My fitnesess Pal ?
Can my gear fit sync with My fitnesess Pal 1? Just bought the gear fit and I have Samsung 4s, is there an app to sync them?
The only app that links with Gear Fit (so far) is Endomondo.

i measured the band at slightly over 8.5 inches but it is adjustable

Does it display the mileage, pace per mile, and total time?
On the companion app, it shows distance and calories burned with total steps.
