Purchased this screen protector to replace an Otterbox Alpha Glass which was a total waste of money. The Zagg's sensitivity to the touch is as though there was no screen protector on the phone. This screen protector is totally compatible with the Otterbox Defender case. Best Buy tech installed this screen protector for me with no problem. Worth the extra cost.

I am not a novice at installing modems and routers having had several modems and routers in the past, but this modem required some special configurations well beyond the capabilities of the programs on the enclosed CD because of my present internet server's unique requirements. I called my internet server and spoke with their repair service folk, but, aside with providing me with two critical numbers which I needed later, they suggested I call Netgear as understandably they weren't trained on all modems. I was reluctant to call Netgear right off because of several reviews posted here noting long waits and very poor customer service. For that reason, I went to my internet server people first as I could usually get through to them fairly rapidly. My reluctance was unnecessary. I called Netgear and I did have to wait almost 20 minutes to speak with a tech specialist, but at the completion of my Netgear session, I could see why the long wait. My wait was greatly rewarded by a gentlemen who spoke excellent English and patiently spent well over an hour (hence probably a long wait for others) helping me to configure not only my modem, but my n900 router, a second PC and three iPads. SUPER OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Hope he doesn't get fired for going well above and beyond.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will this work with Century Link phone DSL in Wytheville VA
Yes, but you will have to call Netgear to have them help you with the setup as CenturyLink has some unique firmware. The wizard program on the CD which comes with the modem won't work. You may have to call CenturyLine repair (1-800-788-3600) to get the VPI (may be 8) and VCI (may be 35) numbers in your area before you call Netgear, but it's pretty easy to get through to the CenturyLink tech specialists. Be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes to speak to a Netgear tech specialist, but if you get the same gentleman I had this afternoon, it will be well worth. He spoke excellent English and spent well over an hour with me setting up this modem, an n900 router, a second PC and three iPads. Couldn't ask for better tech support!

Why is my internet light RED?
This is my 2nd Netgear ADSL2 Modem. The first one always had
4 green lights. My new modem only has power & ADSL lights green.
The internet light is always RED and the Ethernet light never comes on. But
I am able to get on the internet. I don't understand it.

I had this happen with a CenturyLink modem/router and their tech specialist said it was the first time he had heard of it. He had me reboot the unit (pulled the power plug; waited 15 seconds; plugged it back in) and the light finally went to green after the unit went through its restart routine. You may have the same gremlin.

will this work for the xfinity internet service
I don't know if this will work for xfinity internet services, which I have, will it or will it not?
I've been advised that the ADSL2+ is compatible with most internet servers. Your internet server folk can tell you for sure and Netgear can also. It might takes some special configurations with the help of Netgear and you may have to wait 15-20 minutes to get to speak with a tech specialist, but if you get the gentleman who spent over an hour helping me configure this modem plus an n900 router, a second PC and three iPads, the wait will be insignificant.
