The Ninja BL660 has 1100 watts of crushing power. My old blender used to struggle with making smoothies even on its "high power" setting, whereas this ninja shreds through frozen fruit like nobody's business.
It works effectively for making items that don't need high-speed crushing power as well, and is possible to easily do so without accidentally turning your salsa into soup.
The price tag is a bit high, but well worth it, especially for the added on-the-go cups.

Great Action Movie, a must watch

By far one of the best action movies of its year. Short, to the point, great gunplay, excellent (yet simple) premise, Keanu returns to action form in this great movie about a retired hitman getting revenge.
The dialogue and exchange between characters are fantastic, the assassin underworld is intriguing, and the action scenes and choreography are brutal without going overboard on the violence.
An absolute must-watch for action movie fans.

I wasn't sure that I really needed the Harmony remotes when I first got it, but got tired of hunting down one remote or the other when I needed to turn on my TV or adjust my receiver input and they were in two separate places in my house :|
Not only does the Harmony let you control different devices, it lets you set up profiles that automatically turn the device on and set to a certain input based on what activity you want it to do. For example, I created a profile that turns on my TV, Xbox, and my audio receiver, and then sets the receiver to the correct input, just on one click of the touchscreen. It's fantastic, easy to setup and use, and the battery lasts quite a while off the charger. I would easily recommend this to anyone looking to reduce their remote clutter.

I had to purchase one of these as my home has a wireless doorbell that I cannot wire the Ring into.
For a small little outlet plug-and-go device, it connects to your Ring via WiFi (setup is very quick and easy) and is surprisingly very loud. I can hear it from anywhere in my house, and even outside in my backyard.
Great compliment to the Ring doorbell, and if you do have a doorbell system in place, it can be used in a room that you may not be able to hear your regular doorbell from (or outside!) so that you do not miss visitors if your phone is not on you to alert you.

I want to preface this review with I absolutely love my Nest, but it absolutely does have some flaws that prevent me from giving it a perfect score.
First, for the positives - it does a great job of controlling my home AC - it reliably figures out when I am away, it learned my weekend and temperature habits fairly quickly, and the quick-look when you walk by in front of it works fantastically. It has a great "Heat & Cool" setting for days that start out warm but get cold in the evening, or vice versa, or you can leave it on heat or cool individually.
Unfortunately it has some quirks - While it reliably figures out when I am away, it has a tougher time figuring out when I am home. I have spent hours out for a day and come home, and it stayed on it's "Away" function even after an hour of being in the house.
Granted, both the app and the device get regular updates, and lately this quirk has happened less often, it was worth mentioning.
I absolutely love the product despite this and would recommend it to anyone looking to add a well connected and easy-to-setup smart thermostat to their home.

This doorbell exceeded my expectations. The wide angle lens captures guests with excellent clarity, it comes with motion tracking and a subscription recording service, and if you have it wired to a bell in your home circuit, it charges and you can access the camera any time. You can also use it as an answering intercom and talk to people through it without ever opening the door, great for avoiding solicitors.
It does have some flaws, however - Motion tracking can take a bit to respond to someone in front of the camera. Often I have opened the app on alert to motion and whoever was walking in front of it is already gone by the time the movement triggered the doorbell camera.
When I first got the doorbell, on Android phones it would alert when someone rang the doorbell, but opening the alert would not produce the video feed reliably. That being said, Ring was aware of the problem and it was patched a couple days later, so clearly the team is supporting this device well.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this to someone looking to add smart features to their home, or wants an added layer of camera security.

I upgraded to this wireless device after my previous Netgear A6200 started having trouble maintaining a high-speed connection (was not getting the full bandwidth) to my router.
This new AC1200 dongle has better range than my previous A6200, a higher bandwidth capability, and reliably connects at my full 300mbit every time. It reaches my router, which is on the opposite corner of my house, with 4/5 or 5/5 bars easily. It seemed to run fine on generic Wi-Fi drivers on Windows 10, but the included software from Netgear is fairly solid, and would recommend it as well.
Overall, a great purchase and a great USB Wi-Fi adapter short of going the PCI card route, or ethernet/powerline.

is this compatible with Sony PS3?
No - The PS3 (and by extension PS4) use Bluetooth to communicate to their remotes, not regular IR like most remotes. This device cannot emulate the Bluetooth remotes released for the PS3/PS4.

What if my wifi is not working but my power is on. Will the furnace and AC still heat and or cool?
Sometimes my wifi just quits.. problem not mine but at the telephone company.. it might be down for an hour.. will I lose control of my heating or cooling or can I manually adjust what is necessary? There is not and issue with power... just wifi
You can still walk up to the Nest and control it manually, yes. You click the screen to get to any of the available menus (if you want to switch from heat to cool, etc) and turn the silver ring (it's a dial) to adjust temperature or navigate menus.
The only thing you lose if WiFi goes down is the ability to control the Nest from your phone out of your house or for it to track if you are home or if you've left.

Do you have to buy a home security system?
You do not have to buy a home security system to use the Nest. It hooks into the wires of your currently existing thermostat system, assuming it is compatible. For compatibility questions, the Nest website is excellent at helping you figure out if your configuration is compatible

If I am out of town, can I still control my thermostat on my phone? Is there a distance limit?
As long as your Nest is connected to your WiFi, and your internet at home does not go out, you can control your thermostat from anywhere, even while out of town.
