The Orbi wireless mesh system was a replacement for my Netgear Nighthawk R8500.
tl:dr : The Orbi system is holding up well in my extreme network environment. I recommend this system without hesitation.
Network Layout:
32 connected devices (wireless and wired)
NETGEAR CM600 24x8 Cable Modem DOCSIS 3.0 with a 150mb connection (speedtest is 230 down / 12 up - Comcast)
2 x NETGEAR ProSAFE GS108v4 Unmanaged Switch - 8 Ethernet Ports
1 x NETGEAR ProSAFE GS116 Gigabit Desktop Switch - 16 Ethernet Ports
1 x NETGEAR AC1900 Wi-Fi EX6400 (only used to extend an ethernet port to a computer, not to extend wireless)
2500 Square Foot 2 level home with a finished basement
32 connected devices (wireless and wired)

I have smartphones, multiple game consoles, sprinkler system, alarm system, thermostat, Tivo Bolt system with 4 Tivo Mini's attached, smart tv's, desktop and laptop computers and a host of other devices connected.
Orbi Setup:
The setup was easy. I unpacked the router and the satellite, connected all of the ethernet connections, powered both units on and once DHCP kicked in, I went to http://orbilogin.com to proceed with the setup. I answered a few questions, set my SSID and key the same as the previous router so I wouldn't have to reconnect each individual device and devices started connecting immediately.
The setup was easy. I unpacked the router and the satellite, connected all of the ethernet connections, powered both units on and once DHCP kicked in, I went to http://orbilogin.com to proceed with the setup. I answered a few questions, set my SSID and key the same as the previous router so I wouldn't have to reconnect each individual device and devices started connecting immediately.
Performance:
The seamlessness of the entire setup is the most attractive aspect of this system. All of my devices can roam between the main unit and the satellite with no noticeable lag or drop when they switch from one unit to another. Throughput is high and data transfers completed fast. I tested with large batches of small files and individual large files such as massive PDF's and home videos. I recieve my full advertised internet speed in all areas of my home. I receive signal as far away as 3 homes in either direction on my street. I have extreme crowding of wifi signals in my neighborhood and with the use of a wifi analyzer, I was able to determine that the Orbi system was using the least crowded channels in the 2.4 and 5.2ghz ranges.

The main purpose of the satellite is to connect a Tivo Mini to a television that doesn't have access to coaxial connections for cable or MoCa. I am able to watch live HD tv without any issues or drops and without affecting any devices that may be using the satellite for a connection.
Issues:
I honestly haven't experienced any issues to date other than a minor connectivity issue that was resolved by moving the satellite further away from the main unit. I've had two firmware updates since I purchased the system and the units seem stable through each update. All of the functionality within the firmware works as expected. I have an advanced network so some users may not need all of the features that the router has. The firmware is similar to other newer Netgear routers but has a more modern, polished look to it.

There's not much to say about this network switch. It's un-managed, has a small form factor and works well. I have a very large home network and I use this switch to have more ports and offload local traffic from the switch on my router.

This case beats Mophie out of the water. Not sure why this product line is not in the stores instead because it has a more interesting feature set. The wireless charging works great and I never have to plug a cable into my phone. The double case feature is great when you want to drop the bulk of the battery case and still have your phone semi-protected.

Great monitor with awesome picture quality and seemingly fast response times. I was skeptical about curved monitors but after buying and using for a week, it's totally worth it. HDMI and DVI hookups are great and you can have multiple devices connected to the various inputs. I'd buy it again.

I had to request someone supervise me while I unbox the speaker in the store and test it there because the TDK's never seem to be on display unlike other more mainstream speakers. This thing is pretty great and I'm not sure why it's not more popular. They really packed quality into a little package!

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: It wasn't free
I made sure to tell everyone in the Bluetooth speaker section to stop looking at the Jawbone and Bose stuff and check this thing out right away before buying anything. I bought one and the lady before me bought one as well. This unit exceeds without a shadow of a doubt all of the other units in a broad range (cheaper to much more expensive). It exceeded the UE Logitech, the JBL Charge / Flip and the Bose stuff of course. Just test it out in the store and you'll see for yourself. This thing is heavy for a reason. It's solid, well built, easy to use and above all, it just performs!

I returned this item the same day I bought it and swapped it for a Netgear Push2TV. The Rocketfish Miracast adapter is slow, seems buggy and sometimes loses connection to various devices and never sees them again even after numerous resets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The kit is straightforward. It comes with a slight pre-charge so that you can use it right away. The battery life is way longer than expected. If you are an extreme gamer, you are better off just buying this instead of boatloads of batteries.

What's great about it: Sturdy and solid
What's not so great: Hard to adjust angle on stand
This add on works well. I wish the privacy protector for the camera on the Kinect were just a flip up / down type of unit but it slides on and off easy enough. The whole setup is WELL worth the price.

The Chromecast works well and serves its intended function. You'll want to keep it powered by the USB external power (not the TV USB port) if you want it to control power on / off functionality.

Is this device usable without unplugging one of my HDMI cables?
I have a Sony 1080P hidef tv that has only two HDMI ports on it.. Would I have to unplug one of my HDMI cables to use this product? Currently I have one HDMI port used by my TV and one used by my bluray player. I don't want to have to continuously swap out devices to use my bluray player to use the Chromecast device. Any help here?

You will have to have a free HDMI port to use this product. If you are truly bothered by switching cables, you could spring for an HDMI video switch (A/B switch) that you can toggle back and forth without having to swap cables. Either way, you are physically changing it.

While mirroring a movie, how do i turn off the display of the tablet but still continue playing and watching the movie? so that i could save battery
If you are using a Windows tablet, this can be done via the display settings. For Android, I'm not sure this functionality exists.

Does the type cover backlit feature affect the surface's performance in any way?
The backlight feature turns itself off when not being used. It doesn't appear to substantially affect battery life or function.

I'm looking for the cover for the surface with Spanish keyboard, is it possible to find it with BestBuy?
Microsoft does not appear to currently offer a Spanish language keyboard layout for this particular accessory yet. I know that in some regions, Microsoft sells accessories tailored to that region. You may find a South American retailer that may have options for you.
