I started with 1 play one, 1 play five and a connect for my primary home theater system. Then I added another play one and now a playbar. Needless to say I love all my Sonos products. I have the playbar in my game room and so far excellent sound quality. Sounds way better at home then it did in the store! Setup was a breeze and even without the sub this playbar packs a punch. Buyer beware Sonos products are addictive!

I would recommend this to a friend!

Anybody buy JUST the playbar?

I am considering taking the plunge and buying a playbar, but can't afford to buy the sub right now. Is the audio quality decent enough with just the playbar to justify buying the playbar now, then buying the sub within the next couple months?

That's what I did. Just the playbar provided a drastic improvement over my TV speakers. The playbar has fairly decent amount of bass and packs a punch for its size. One of my favorite things about Sonos is the ability to expand the system and be continuously impressed with every purchase. Yes it is pricey but hey, you get what you paid for! NOTE: I found the playbar to sounded better at home than in the store!
