What's great about it: Small, easy to install parts, easy to carry around
What's not so great: Peripherals, lack of necessary cables.
First things first, this is a bare bones unit. I came across this product while helping someone else yesterday, had no idea best buy carried it.. And thought I might write a review.
This product is very cool! It houses typically and Intel Core i3, which is great for basic usage (i.e. home theater pc set up, small form factor pc, travel pc, ext). It's tiny! The case is just about 4.5 inches wide, and about an inch thick. This unit also has dual HDMI outputs, 3 USB 2.0 ports, gigabit ethernet, 16g 1333/1600mHz ram capacity, and 2 mSATA slots. If you don't know about mSATA it's basically housing your drives in a PCIe slot. This product needs a C5 AC power adapter cable, because it is a bare bones kit. Keep that in mind! They're about 5-10$ where you buy them, you can get them from the Best Buy website, if you order through the marketplace, or through newegg for a little cheaper. You will also need RAM! Remember, you can use up to 16g, making sure the RAM is the same.. The NUC uses SO-DIMM's, so you'll need some laptop RAM in this bad boy. Also, make sure you pick up a mSATA drive, preferably 64g or higher.. Make sure you grad a wireless mouse and keyboard too! That doesn't come in the tiny box..
Value for price is good, because it's less than 300$ for an Intel Core i3. However, it really lacks necessary components, like a power cable. Something that's 5$ should be included.
Features? Awesome! Tons of choices, whether or not you need a thunderbolt (or mini display adapter) adapter, or dual HDMI, whether or not you want gigabit ethernet (10/100/1000) this product has great interface for how small it is. I would have liked to see a USB 3.0, but if, for example, you need that for your external hard drive, make sure you pick up a thunderbolt to usb 3.0 adapter (from the manufacturer website, like WD or Seagate) and use that. One HDMI out will definitely be fine, considering you should be using dual monitors with an Intel Core i3.
Performance? Again, awesome! Intel Core products typically perform very well, with whatever tasking you're going to be doing. This houses a third generation Intel Core processor, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing! Great performance from this product, considering you have 16g advantage (with 1600mHz capability) and mSATA interface for fast boot times, load times, ext..
Reliability? Honestly, I've read some bad reviews on this product relating to overheating. That makes sense considering the form factor of this product. However, if you're smart about what you're doing on this product, it won't be an issue. That being said, it's still an untra small form factor product, and will typically have more issues than something that's standard ATX.
Thanks for reading!
This product is... Inputs which I need, quiet, A nice compact size, easy to set up, lightning fast

I would recommend this to a friend!

What printers are compatible with this system?

Impossible to answer. Depends on how old the printer is you're using. Basically anything will be compatible though. If you bought your printer when you had XP, it's probably a yes.. However if you're buying a new printer, I wouldn't worry about it. Every printer sold in the store would be compatible with any computer.

Will this run the new DayZ standalone?

I'm looking for a very cheap computer to do some gaming on would this work or nah?
Yes! It would work. However, it would be the bare minimum system requirements to play the game (which is in alpha right now).

Does this computer have a VGA output? And does it really support only the SD media format?

I see this computer has an HDMI output, does it also have a VGA output (for an older monitor)? And does it really support only the SD media format (not Memory Stick, MultiMedia or xD, for example)?
I believe this product has an HDMI, VGA, and DVI inputs in the rear. And yes, just an SD media slot.

Can I Install My Windows Vista Home Premeium on this Computer.

You can! I would highly recommend you do not though. 1. Vista is an awful operating system. 2. There are no Vista drivers that will support this computers newer hardware. Your computer will just crash. That's why it comes pre-loaded with an OS. Cheers!

Does this have a non-standard power supply and motherboard?

How easy is it to replace the power supply & motherboard if it is12 pin non-standard?
Great question. This product has a 300w power supply mounted to a H81 LGA 1150 socket board (for Haswell architecture). This should be an ATX12V compliant tower, which means it will be compatible with every standard ATX12V power supply. As for the 12 pin non standard? Never heard of a 12 pin on a power supply.. Even if they are TFX, or SFX power supplies. They'll usually come with a 20-pin or 20+4 pin motherboard plug, an 4+4-pin motherboard plug, and 6-pin or 6+2-pin PCIe plug depending on whether or not the power supply has a 12v rail (more powerful graphics cards use 12v rails, 6+2-pin plugs, and ANOTHER 6+2, or just another 6-pin for additional power). Then other SATA and Molex plugs..
So, yes. It should be easy to replace all you need is standard ATX12V.

The picture does not show 2 usb ports in the front. Where are they then?

Where are the usp ports in the front? the pictue does not show it.
This product has two USB 2.0 slots in the front hidden behind a 5.25" bay door, kind of like the 5.25" bay door that hides the DVD/CD burner. It also has a card reader, and headphone/microphone jacks located behind the door.

Two Moniters...

Can this Tower handle two monitors? I am looking for a cheap tower for editing and maybe in the future gaming and i want to hook up two monitors. Is that possible?
This product would definitely support two monitors. It has analog, and digital outputs in the back. You could use, HDMI to HDMI, DVI-D to HDMI, DVI-D to DVI-D, or VGA to VGA keeping your analog to analog, and digital to digital.

What Motherboard is in this PC?

I'm wondering what motherboard this computer has. I've done a number of searches and can't come up with anything.

Asus Essentio M11BB-B07: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-essentio-desktop-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive/3026531.p?id=1219086171062&skuId=3026531#tab=overview
Hard to say, I don't think ASUS releases that information. It's probably a standard FM2/FM2+ motherboard (since it has an A10 in it) from ASUS. You'll have to open it up to find out, it would probably support standard ATX compliant devices as well.. i.e. SATA 2/3, PCIe x16, and RAM speeds up to 1600mHz. I believe the DIMM's are rated for 32g's but that would be ridiculous, 8g would be more than enough.

the video card is good for playing games like cod or btf4 etc?

the rest of the pc convince me, I have only doubt the video card :s
I would not recommend this computer for that sort of usage. The "video card" in this product is integrated which means it's part of the processor. The AMD a10 6700 is an APU, it doesn't actually have a dedicated graphics card. I would recommend something higher end for FPS games, they're typically more taxing on your system. Check out the recommended system settings of whatever games you're going to be playing, and go from there. If a computer has ATI graphics or Nvidia graphics then it will typically come loaded with a dedicated card.

Can I use my presant Keyboard and mouse with HPpavillion 500-214 ? I plan on buying

Does the HP PAVILION 500-124 require a mouse and keyboard ? if so can I use my presant keyboard Model# 5189URF( K) and mouse Model# 5189URF (m) ? Both are wireless.
Yes. In most every case a computer will be able to download the necessary drivers to run any peripherals (your wireless mouse and keyboard) you might have used previously on your computer. Keep in mind that a new computer tower comes with the mouse and keyboard in the box.
