HOW DO YOU USE IT?

i have a sony cybershot digital camera and i lost the cords to plug into my comp to upload pics, will this work? And if it does how , where would i plug it in,
No, its more of a Data Storage device, you would need an SD Card for your camera or, Bestbuy will have cables (universal type) to use if, of course, its the USB cable or somethng that connects the camera to the computer. Check out their SD cards to put into your camera so that way you can just use that instead of plugging the whole camera in. I would recomend maybe an 8gig or 16gig SD card. It all depends on how many photos you take and how often. Check out something like this.

Will this work on a DVR?

NO... The USB ports are primarily disabled on pretty much all DVR boxes, (to avoid downloading shows and movies that are being recorded.) the only reason theyre even on the box is because other cable companies allow users access to that USB port only for firmware updates and changing settings to the box itself. It wont work like it would on you Blu-Ray player allowing you to watch movies that are installed on yout thumbdrive or external hard drive.

I tred backing up my XP documents and settings to a 16GB PNY

At 3.99 GB the download stopped and said unit was full and to insert another unit.
The PNY properties show about 12GB of free space. Why does it say full?
What can I do to overcome this?
If there is anything on the drive move it to your desk top. Then... Go to your START menu (bottom left corner) > RIGHT click on Computer> this will pull up a box that says "Computer Management" at the top. Go to DISK MANAGEMENT, on the left, under the Storage tab, It will then pull up all drives connected to your computer. Choose your Thumb/Flash drive, RIGHT click on it (make sure to right click on the RIGHT side of the description.) Once you right click a menu will pop up, click FORMAT> then follow directions.

Summary: This will erase everything on the thubdrive and will allow full capacity to the drive, (which you probably had anyway) but at least you can try this out and see if it works.
