Fire safety

I have heard a lot of warnings about above stove microwaves causing fires! How accurate is this!
I used mine for over 10 years with no issues. I did not check the CPSC website to see what issues had taken place over the last several years, but I had no issues with the ones I have used.

How do you install this microwave with no cabinet above.

You can't. You need the the top front of the microwave to be screwed into the upper cabinet to bear the load. There is a bracket in the back but it is not designed to hold the microwave by itself.

Is this really stainless steel?

I read in a review that it is more gray colored than stainless steel. This confused me because it looks like stainless. I have s/s appliances in my kitchen and I just want to make sure this new microwave matches.
It matched my other SS appliances which were from different manufacturer's.

Directions indicate that it can be vented outside or inside.
