Did not boost signal as well as I thought it would. I live in two story home and the wifi signal is stronger a lot closer to the NETGEAR - AC1600 Dual-Band Gigabit Router. I had to buy a booster to get a stronger signal down stairs away from the NETGEAR - AC1600 Dual-Band Gigabit Router.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

install without an ethernet port?

My computer does not have an ethernet port. Can I install this router using the smartphone app?
Yes so long as you have internet connection.

Can I hardwire this extender to our existing router?

I would prefer to hardwire this Extender from our existing Router. Would this work using the existing Ethernet port on the Extender?

Is this compatible with Actiontec Wireless N DSL modem GT784WN?

I followed the installation guide to set up. I have been unable to get internet service. The final step states to register it with my modem/router. I can't figure out how to do this! Please help!
