I will be returning my Kevo as soon as possible after speaking with their horrendous customer service. Since the date I purchased the device, I have been receiving error messages on my smartwatch that the kevo app has crashed. These messages occur every 10 minutes, and must be dismissed before I can even check the time as they take up the entire screen. Kwikset is aware of the issue, but has stated multiple times that they have no ETA for an update to correct the issue. I was told by their support that until an update is pushed at some point in the future, I should simply uninstall the Kevo app from my phone and use a standard key when unlocking my Kevo. If I wanted to use a standard key, I probably wouldn't have spent $200 on a smart deadbolt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What happens if network down. If out in yard with no keys or cell phone are you locked out?

It runs on bluetooth LE, so it isn't dependent on your wifi or internet connection. If you're outside without your phone, keys or a fob and the door is locked, yes you will be locked out.

If somebody comes to visit me from out of town, can I issue eKeys to them or do they have to have the actual fab?
