What's great about it: Clear, solid protection
What's not so great: Looks bad for the first day or two
The Zagg InvisiShield is a fantastic product. It does what it says, clearly.
I had mine installed by the Geek Squad and I highly recommend using their services. It's not that installation is difficult, but it is tricky. I can also see where someone without experience would tend to want to 'over-work' the application.
First, the Geek Squad discovered that the unit I'd purchased was somehow defective. They immediately replaced it without question.
Second, when I got the unit back, it had at least a dozen air bubbles all over the place. The technician said that it took a few days for the bubbles to disappear and that I should be careful about anything (cover, case, etc.) touching it for 24 hours.
After the first day three quarters of the bubbles were gone. After three days the surface was blemish free and virtually clear as glass.
As well as protecting the screen from scratches, I find that the screen is easier to clean than the bare device screen was. The protector also seems to take fingerprints a bit less than the bare screen.
I've had a Zagg screen protector on my iPhone 5 for about a year, now, and it still looks virtually new.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Stands on any of the sides
What's not so great: A bit pricey - Heavier than some cases
The Amazon origami case is a flexible protector case. The Fire fits snugly into the case and is held in place with internal magnets. The cover is also kept closed with magnets. Closing the cover puts the Fire into stand-by mode.
The outside surface is a plastic material and so far has resisted scuffs, and wipes clean easily. The inside of the cover is a soft velour like material that helps to protect the screen surface.
The case does not add a lot of bulk to the Fire such that it fits easily into a moderately sized purse. (That;s probably not the most useful comment for a lot of you, sorry,)
It would be a better value at about $10-15 less.

What's great about it: Good display
What's not so great: Amazon operating system
I have always heard good things said about the Fire HDX and, at at least $100 less than Apple, I thought I'd save some money.
The device itself is fairly robust and well made. The resolution on the display is very good. Movies really pop. Sound is better than many with decent reproduction and volume.
Physically, it is a 4 to 5 star device.
Where the Fire HDX fails is Amazon's semi-proprietary Android operating system. Apps can only be purchased through Amazon. The apps available are Amazon's picks from the Android market.
If you want Google product (eg. Maps, Translate, Earth, etc.), forget it. There are 'similar' apps from other publishers, but they do not compare well with the real things. Also, if your area has apps for local TV stations, banks, etc., again, forget it.
Further, I've been surprised at the number of so-called vetted apps that either don't work at all or are inappropriate for the platform. For example there are a number of apps available to read QR codes. Good idea, right?
Wrong! The Fire HDX only has a forward facing camera, making use a joke. You have to hold the QR code in font of the camera and then look around whatever its on to focus and capture it. If the code is on something like a store shelf, good luck.
The point is that there is no value added by Amazon to apps in the Android market, and thus no incentive to be locked into their store.
Then, there is Amazon's proprietary browser, Silk. As a browser, it's not all that bad, except that it does not support Java or Flash. So if any of your favorite sites use those, you are, once more, out of luck.
As an example, I thought I'd run an internet speed test. Of the half dozen or so that showed up on a Google search, all but one used Flash and would not work on Silk.
Finally, there is the Carousel. All new apps, docs, books, etc. are automatically added to the carousel. After a while it becomes unwieldy. You can remove items from the carousel, but it is a time consuming process.
Under the carousel there is a more 'traditional' list of apps that is fairly easy to organize. But every time you run an app or open a document, it will reappear in the carousel.
The bottom line is all this is good for is buying stuff from Amazon. If all you want are Amazon products and e-books, then it's an okay unit, though there are much cheaper readers on the market.
If you already have a device that uses Android, there is a back door way to add non-Amazon-approved apps, but if you are not reasonably tech savvy, you're better off just giving it a pass.
If you're used to Apple, save your money and pay the price for the real McCoy.

What's great about it: Intuitive user interface
What's not so great: Remote s bit finicky
We live in a travel trailer and wanted a full featured set that wasn't six feet across. This 32 inch set is perfectly sized and yet offers a full 1080p 120Hz screen.
Setup was easy and straightforward. Channel scan took several minutes (we are on an antenna), but it found all the stations that were receivable though our antenna. The only down side is that digital channels may only be added via the scan, so if you have to move your antenna to get different channels, you have to do partial scans, which is a bit of a pain.
Connecting to wireless internet was very simple and took little time. Internet accessible channels are scrolled across the bottom of the screen.
Each service has its own app, so the interfaces are not consistent, but that's the fault of the apps, not the set.
After a month of use the set still completely satisfies.
The only quirk is that the remote is sometimes a bit strange. Sometimes it will register 2 numbers when only one was desired, and sometimes pressing the buttons gives no result. Some of this seems position sensitive (aiming slightly down with the remote held sideways seems to offer more consistent behavior.) Overall, though, this is a minor issue.
The picture is right on with no need to tweak. Sound is what one would expect from a set this size: Good high end, acceptable middles, and weak lows. Volume is more than sufficient for our purposes. Even when compensating for kitchen noise, we've never had to set volume higher than 30 (out of a scale of 50).
I highly recommend this product.
