Bought this for my wife. Very good machine. The load autosensing feature is very nice. Very quite too. The price was unbelievable as well. Thanks Best Buy!

Get the regular tv and the samsung. Less to go wrong with the tv.

Can non-3d Blu-Ray players stream 3d content to a 3d TV?

Best way to install and use several new devices

Bought a Vizio 5.1 channel sound bar and a Samsung blue ray BD 5700 to go with a new Samsung 60 inch. Would it make sense to hook the sounbar to the tv then the blue ray to the tv and connect them all with one remote Harmony 650

Neither Netflix nor YouTube or Hulu or Hulu Plus were loaded on player...

...as advertised. How do I get them?

I think you need to connect the wireles or Lan connection first.

What is meant by "built in" on the descriptions?

It means that there is a wireless card built into the unit -- which means that it will receive the wifi signal from your router with no other accessories needed. (just the password)

Does the netflix app include closed captioning?

My current blu-ray player is an LG and the Netflix app does not offer closed captioning. Before I buy another one, I'd like this feature.

I'm not sure that the app has the cc feature. The television itself will do this. Most video usually has close caption encoding in the signal.

difference between WIFI ready and WIFI built in?

WiFi ready means that you have to buy an additional piece to receive the transmission. Usually a usb type device that looks like a thumb drive.

Yesterday when I tried to turn on my BD-D6700 model with the remote control it wouldn't respond.

When I checked the batteries one of them had leaked, so I cleaned up the remote and changed the batteries but the player still won't respond. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

There is really nothing you can do. I'd try buying a universal remote.

can this player be hooked up to old style tv, if i use the rca cord with HDMI on other end?

can this player be hooked up to a regular old style analog television? If i use RCA plug with HDMI plug at other end, which will hook up to the player?

You can do that, but of course you will not be getting HD video or audio. I wouldn't bother. Just stick to a dvd player.
