 Samsung - Galaxy Tab S - 8.4" - 16GB - Titanium Bronze
Samsung - Galaxy Tab S - 8.4" - 16GB - Titanium Bronze
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Tablet: Mix play and productivity with a tablet able to open 2 apps or windows at the same time. Important documents are kept safe with a fingerprint scanner, and a low-power mode helps your tablet stay functioning for as long as possible.

Not even close to an iPad or iPad mini

I own the iPad Air 2 and traded in my iPad Mini 2 for this tablet and it was a mistake. I like Android and iOS so I always have a device that uses both of these OS's. The Galaxy Tab is cool if you are just going to watch movies, video clips, use social media, or listen to music...it work just fine for those tasks. The biggest flaws show up when web browsing and using certain apps/games. The iPad is using apps made for the iPad. The Galaxy Tab is using mostly blown up cell phone apps and it ruins the user experience. I'll make it simple and list where this tablet goes wrong compared to the iPad.
1. Apps like Facebook are blown up and the font size is tiny because it was made to work on a smartphone.
2. Some webpages act like blown up apps because either the font is too small or the side ads on webpages push the viewing angle out of proportion.
3. The iPad keyboard has letters the size of your fingertips and is easy to type on. The Galaxy Tab keyboard has tiny letters half the size of the iPad keyboard.
4. Due to fragmentation issues certain apps that might work on your cell phone...won't work on your tablet. Cinemax Go works on my Galaxy Note 3 but won't work on my Galaxy Tab even though my Note 3 is the older device.
5. This tablet isn't up to date and running the latest and most current version of Android. This tablet suffers from app fragmentation and OS fragmentation. Android Lollipop came out the first week in November and this tablet may never see the newest version of Android. The iPad Air doesn't have this issue.
6. The fingerprint scanner is a joke compared to the iPad and iPhone. I stopped using it after a day bs won't use it again.
Bottomline...this is a decent tablet but kind of expensive considering all the flaws and red flags. The screen is great and if you only do basic tasks...this tablet will be just fine for you. If you are thinking of switching from an iPad to this...don't do it. This is an honest review and I'm not here to hype any company. I just wanted to give my perspective as someone who has used and own the iPad Air and iPad Mini and the Galaxy Tab.

Apple - iPhone 5s 64GB Cell Phone - Space Gray (Verizon Wireless)
The highly advanced iPhone 5s features the A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, a new 8MP iSight camera, a new FaceTime HD camera, ultrafast LTE wireless, iOS 7, and iCloud. Yet it's as thin and light as ever.

What's great about it: Speed, apps, and the best camera
What's not so great: Battery life and easy to break without a case
The iPhone 5s is the fastest phone out right now and it blows away every Android phone when it comes to speed. Web browsing, video streaming, and app launching are all blazing fast and an improvement from the iPhone 5. The camera also has been improved and takes better pics in low light conditions. I thought the fingerprint scanner was a silly gimmick but it does provide security and it beats entering your password 100 times a day. For the record...I also own the Galaxy Note 2 as my business phone and the iPhone 5s is faster in every way even though it's much smaller. I actually like Android and iOS and use both daily.
The only negatives I have to mention are battery life and that the phone is easy to break without a case. I bought a Mophie battery case so now I get over 20 hours battery life per day. Mophie cases cost around $100 so they aren't cheap but they are worth it for heavy users.
This product is... Good video quality

What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Limited and doesn't do much that other devices already do
I have a PS3, 360, iPad 4, Apple TV, and the new Nexus 7. If you have any of these devices or a Roku then you don't need a Chromecast. All if can do is play YouTube on Netflix but most devices already do that and can connect to a TV with an HDMI cable including a laptop. The Apple TV and Roku are more expensive but they access way more content than the Chromecast.
The media hyped up these devices but the reality is they are limited and don't do anything other devices on the market already do. I want to use mine on the road in hotels but without a web browser they can't connect to WiFi.

What's great about it: Fast and a new OS
What's not so great: App selection is weak, battery life is average
I picked up a Z10 on Friday and had to return it by Sunday. I carry an iPhone 5 for personal use and sold my Galaxy Note 2 to buy this phone which was a mistake. If you have invested in music, movies, games, apps, or books from Android or the iPhone then using this phone is a big step backwards for everyday use and entertainment options. All smartphones can make calls, send texts, email, and surf the web but what separates phones are apps.
The Z10 has no Netflix app, no HBO Go app, and no Max Go app. On road trips when I travel...I can connect my phone to a hotel tv and get access to unlimited movie options for free or watch movies on a plane. The Z10 can't do this and is very limited with movie options.
The Z10 has no access to live sports like the March Madness app, no MLB, no NBA Gametime, no NFL Red Zone, no Time Warner Sports (Laker games), and no PAC 12 Network. There is nothing better than not being at home but still having access to watch live sports and following your favorite teams.
The Z10 doesn't have access to the best mobile games like Real Racing 3, Modern Combat 4, and Grand Theft Auto. On long flights and while traveling its cool having access to fun time wasters. The graphics on the high end games are just as good as the Playstation Vita but Blackberry users can't enjoy the fun.
The Z10 is a nice looking phone but it is way too limited and is behind Android phones and the iPhone 5 in almost every way. The Z10 can't do anything current high end phones can't already do. If you like Blackberry phones and want something different...this phone will be perfect for you. This phone may seem fast and great now but once the new iPhone and Galaxy S4 comes out...it will seem slow and outdated. Good luck finding accessories like speaker docks, alarm clocks, or battery cases that add 10 hours battery life to your phone.

Mac Mail on Samsung Galaxy III

I use Apple's mail. Can I get my mail through an Android phone? Can I do this through iCloud?
You can't use iCloud on an Android phone. Check the Google Play website for app options as far as email is concerned. I have never looked to see if they have an Apple mail app so I can't say for sure.
