What's not so great: Scratches very easily
I would buy another one but can't at this time. Had a 46' screen in NY but had to sell it as I moved out to Oregon. When I sold it, it's value was actually increased. Wonderful.

pentile/vertical 1080?
The Samsung 60" class plasma (PN60E550D1FXZA) has a "vertical" 1080p which as far as i know is the pen-tile matrix.
What difference does it make VS an RGB matrix? Is it truly HD? Which provides the best picture?
Any knowledge about pen-tile, vertical 1080 or RGB is helpful.

HDTV is always better if you have the right connection box. Smart TV are glorified sensors.

Does this set have a lighted remote control?
Yes. The control is black with green backlight.

Yes. Find it on your tv remote not the cable remote

Is this PAL compatible with 110-240v?
Would like to buy this TV if it is compatible in UK/Asia. I.e. PAL support and 110-234v supply. Let know. Thanks in advance.
Yes, very easily converted with $.50 adapter. I did it and it works well.

Manual
Why did this TV not come with a advanced features manual but rather the CD? I do not want to use up the space on my computer to read these files, and when I contacted LG customer support they had told me the maual would cost me $10.00. They should have put the advanced features manual with the TV instead of the CD for the people that do not own a computer. Very disappointed at LG for telling me that they would charge me $10.00 for the manual when it is expected when you purchase a new product. My only guess is that the CD would save them dollars.
Yes. Burning a cd is way less expensive than having to print repeated manuels.

my LG tv screen goes dark in a sec but sound goes on , what maight be wrong?
when I put 32lg30 tv on it lights up for a second and then goes dark, but the sound is on? does that mean the screen burned down?
Your picture sensor may be dirty.
