I bought the Epson 2540 to replace a Kodak 9250 that was slowly dying. The setup was easy - connected by USB, wireless, and Google Cloud Print. Next is to connect my wife's Mac by Air Print. There were some stripes on one of the colors, but a couple of head cleans fixed the problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: It's like having a remote control for my Windows PC
What's not so great: I miss the right mouse click button
Here are the coolest things I have found so far: there are LOTS of free apps. They install in seconds and "just work." You can use the remote desktop to control another computer that has Google chrome installed. I can turn on the web cam, check on the dogs, play music, edit any Microsoft document just like I was sitting in front of it. It comes with 100GB of Google Drive space free for 2 years - that's a $120 value! Now I can save all my files to Google Drive and access them from my Chromebook while travelling or from my computer at work. You can also use Gmail offline to write and answer emails, and send them once you are back online. Is there anything you can't do? I haven't found it yet.
This product is... A touch pad that works great, A nice compact size, easy to set up
About me... Basic web surfing & emails, Parent with kids, Comfortable with technology, teacher
I would recommend this to a friend!

What wireless portable internet connnecter should I get to work with this?

The Chromebook has wi-fi built in. You can also add a sim card if you need to be online where there is no wi-fi, but that is expensive.

Use Google Drive and save everything on the "cloud." You can then access it from any computer anywhere in the world.

Does Ethernet Adapter Need a Modem?

I've been researching ethernet adapters for Chrome. I don't quite understand how they work. I know you plug it in to a USB port. But the port on the other end ; is that where you insert the ethernet cable from your DSL modem? If so, when you take to, say a cafe where they have an internet connection, how does that work? I'm missing something.
Since the Chromebook has wi-fi built in, you don't need to use a wire to connect to the Internet.
