Does the Samsung sync with Microsoft Outlook??

I use Microsoft Outlook for all my contacts etc. Does this phone, the Samsung 5s sync up with that program to keep both the phone and the outlook program in sync with each other???

i have a contract with verizon ends next yr can i get this phonr now and hou much in all will it cost to do this said i could not change till next yr.

Being that you're Anonymous, there's no way to tell. You'd have to go in to the store and let them look up your account and work up the price for you.

You may be early EDGE eligible, or you may not be. Only way to tell is to go in. Fortunately for you, they're nice.

will best buy pay the fees if I end my Verizon 2 yr contract early and sign up with them

Sprint is offering some money to switch, but you'd have to go in store and verify how you do that. Best Buy isn't a carrier, so if you mean to end your current plan with Verizon and go to Best Buy to start up a new plan with Verizon, that wouldn't work. Best Buy facilitates, so you're really asking Verizon to pay their own fees and give you a new phone.

I'd suggest checking if you're EDGE eligible, you might be able to get a new phone even if you're not ready for a 2-year contract.

What Price is Tax Charged On?

Does Best Buy charge tax on the retail phone price or the discounted plan price?

It's off of the price you pay in the register. So if you're buying the phone outright it's the higher price. But if you're getting a contract that drops the price of the phone down and you pay tax on that lower price.

It works this way for other things too. Let's say there's a bundle on buying a case and a screen shield with a phone. Well, you pay tax on the lower bundled price. That's also why they charge you $1 for a phone. You have to pay some tax, but that's how you can pay the least.

Does this Galaxy s5 from best buy come with any free and installed security and anti-virus software?

Is there any pre-installed and/or trial-period security and anti-virus software?

It looks like it comes with Verizon Protect for a virus protector. But to be honest, you don't need one on the newest versions of Android since it comes with it's own version of a virus scanner. Just make sure you don't download anything except from the Play Store (which has its own virus scanner as well) and you'll be just fine. In fact, sometimes virus scanners can even slow your phone down. They're really unnecessary.

Why is it only a dollar with a two year contract? whats the catch

Well, the price changed so that's the catch. But Best Buy has a really good relationship with Samsung, since they have Samsung stores in their locations. So sometimes they work out a short-time deal where Samsung gives them the phones for less money than usual. It's pretty sweet.

I receive a discount thru my work with Verizon, I can still use that with the edge package?

It all depends on the type of discount. If it's a discount on accessories then they'll usually price-match that. If it's a discount on the access line, then that doesn't really go away by doing EDGE or going to Best Buy. If it's off of the hardware in a carrier store, then no since the hardware prices on EDGE can't be changed. And that's true for a carrier store as well. The price is the price.

Does Best Buy match Amazon price for this unit?

It's complicated. The official standard is that they don't price-match online sales on contract devices.

But at the end of the day managers decide how to run their stores. So if you're really nice and the price difference isn't HUGE, then maybe they will. If an associate just says no, still be REAL nice, and ask to talk with a manager. Be EVEN NICER and make your case to them. They're there to make sure the store makes money, so you have a fair chance. The real deal is if you can price-match to an in-town competitor. That's usually more of a lock.

Outright price with no contract is $749.99 plus tax. You could also try adding it to your account or doing an upgrade and giving them the phone. Just depends on what you want to do.

Can u still trade in your old phone when u enter in to the Edge program?

It depends if you're fully eligible or only early EDGE eligible. If you're fully upgrade-ready you can just start a new EDGE plan and also trade in your phone. If you've had your phone for less than two years, you'll have to send your phone back to Verizon before you can start your new EDGE program. But that's better than having to wait until your two years are up.
