What's great about it: Manufactured beautifully, easy to use
What's not so great: Aperature does not allow me
This is a great lens to have in anyone's collection, novice or professional, alike. This lens will do anything that you ask of it. I bought this lens to add to my collection that I just recently decided to improve upon. I am always doing something with my dog outdoors or traveling all over the place so I needed a lens that could do all I asked of it, and so far, this lens has not let me down. I managed to take some pictures of my dog jumping all over the place and in the most awkward positions and I did NOT lose ANY details. That impressed me more than I can possibly explain.
If you require a lens that will get some decent zoom, this lens will work for you. If you are looking for a lens that can keep up with moving objects, frame for frame, this lens will definitely NOT let you down. I took my dog to the park and made him jump in the air and run etc and this lens took great pictures of him without losing the slightest bit of detail. I also took this lens with me to Europe, recently, and was able to take good pictures of the buildings. Sometimes it seemed to take a little bit more of attention on my part to focus in on objects that were far away, but once I got it, it produced good results, but being honest, I am still learning, so please don't judge my pictures or opinion too harshly.
I'm just trying to figure out why I cannot change the aperature levels on the lens with my Nikon D3200. I do not know if it is a compatibility issue with my body vs lens or if it is just an error on my own part. Either way, I am very satisfied with this lens and I think that it is a pretty decent versatile lens that should be in everyone's collection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: set up/info guide ON camera, decent price
What's not so great: variety of lenses seems only available online
This was my first SLR camera, although I have borrowed my sister's Canon in the past. I personally feel as though Nikon's take a clearer, more vibrant picture, so when I set out to purchase a camera, I knew that a Nikon was the one for me. I settled on the D3200, because it has a comfortable grip, it's a rather affordable price, and the bundle that it came with was also something that I just could not walk away from.
I love the fact that on the top of the camera near the on/off switch is an info button. When you press that button it will take you to a menu that gives you three options (shoot, view/delete, and set up). This is truly an awesome feature! Instead of having to read a manual or go look up the instructions on Google, all you have to do is press a button and follow the directions on the screen which are all dummy-proof. The "shoot" option will take you through the variety of options available to you when taking pictures. It will tell you which option should be used when capturing portraits, landscapes, moving objects, etc. If you ever forget what each individual option is used for, all you have to do is hit the info button and it will tell you. As for the "view/delete" and "set up", that's rather self-explanatory.
As I said, being new to the SLR world, I was not 100% sure what was the differences between the types of lenses that are available, but I knew that there is a wide variety for you to choose from. If you go onto Nikon's website and select the D3200, it will give you a list of lenses that they make that are compatible with the camera and will tell you what each individual lens is best used for and they will even give you some sample pictures that were taken with that particular lens. That is a great weapon for anyone that is interested in having a wide variety of lenses in their photography arsenal.
The camera is basically dummy-proof. When you are trying to snap a picture and the lighting is a bit too low to capture all of the vibrant detail, the flash hood will pop up into action without having been manually forced to. I also was playing with the varying shooting frames available and a little message came up on the screen that told me to change to a different, better suited frame. For a beginner like me, that was a crucial piece of assistance that I was not initially aware that I needed. After taking heed to the camera's advice, I realized an immediate difference in the quality of my pictures.
A feature that I found very useful was that the on/off button is actually a switch that you just flip back and forth. You do not need to see the screen to make sure that the camera has responded to you, like you might with a regular pocket camera. The response speed is also very pleasing, because you do not have to wait at all. The moment you flip the switch on, your camera is immediately ready for you to start snapping away without the slightest hint of hesitation.
The battery is also very good so far. I have been taking non stop pictures so far and have yet to need to charge it up. I took about 55 pictures yesterday and about 10 this morning, on top of constantly playing with the settings and with the varying shooting frames, which I was sure would drain the battery. I am glad that I was mistaken, however.
Something that I am not very happy about, although it has nothing to do with the actual camera itself, is the lack of lenses available in the actual stores. It seems as though for a wider variety of lenses, you will have to resort in online shopping (Nikon's website, Amazon, etc). This could be strictly due to the fact that the lenses will run you anywhere from $100-2k, so the stores probably just carry the most popular ones. This is a downfall for people like me, though, because I can read about what the actual lens is best suited for, etc, but I need to physically test it to determine if it is something that I could utilize and not feel as though I just wasted money on. Best Buy stores are pretty helpful, though. I went in yesterday to sample a lens that they had available and they allowed me to mount it onto my camera and play with it for a minute. If only they had more available...

What's great about it: Ease of use; got it on sale; variety of colors; lots of accessories
What's not so great: easy to break the screen; battery life is pretty bad
I love Apple products and after my last ipod was stole, I had to go out to buy a new one. I decided that I would get an Ipod 5th generation blue with 32gb. It was very easy to setup (no surprise there), very easy to find affordable accessories and screen protectors, has great brightness and is nice and thin so it can fit in any pocket or purse. I love the blue color, because it is so vibrant and noticeable. The cameras are decent, too, especially for an Ipod. It downloaded all 25gb of my music/audiobook libraries without an issue and did it rather quickly. The wifi capabilities enables you to surf the web, check your email, use Imessages, watch videos, download and play apps, etc. I only have two serious issues with this product which are 1 the battery life and 2 the headphones (earpods) that come with. The battery life, just in my opinion, is exceptionally short-lived. For someone like me who listens to music/audiobooks continually throughout the day, this is nothing short of an epic fail. I thought that since there was no need for extra software and chips installed into the device since it is not a phone, that the battery life would be far more reliable. I find myself having to charge my Ipod about 3 times a day minimum with my average usage, and yet, the usage I exalt on my phone is far more vigorous and yet my phone outlives my Ipod every single time! As for the headphones, my issue is that they are the typical earpods, but they come without a microphone attached to the wire. This is a serious issue for me, because I travel quite a lot and most of my friends/family are hundreds of miles away from me. If I were to use skype or facetime with my Ipod, it would truly be a hassle to have to not use earpods with a microphone attached. Besides my two gripes

Does this come with a SD Card, or I have to get my own?

Does this come with a SD Card, or I have to get my own? If I have to get my own can you provide me with examples because I need to get the SD card asap to start taking pictures as soon as I get this camera.
Yes, but ONLY if you buy the camera in a bundle (usually involves the camera, SD card, and might include another lens on top of the stock 18-55mm lens it comes with or will include a tripod, just depends where you shop and the offers currently available.)

If you do NOT buy the camera in a bundle then you will have to go out and buy your own SD card.
