What's great about it: sound, hookup, not like the usual soundbar
What's not so great: nothing
We bought a 55" Insignia LED HD TV. We knew it needed better sound. Found the Bose on Best Buy, but the specs said it should only be used on 30" to 42" TV's. We bought it anyway, and just love it.
The base of our TV fits perfectly on top of it, and the sound is excellent.
It also has the ability to have the sound control incorporated in our dish network remote. We have other Bose speakers in our home, and I have Bose in my Truck. And now have it on our TV. It's worth the money! No complaints!

We currently have a Samsung sound bar and a 55" Samsung LED TV. Will this product work on a large TV and does it take the place of the sound bar?
We bought a 55" Insignia TV from Best Buy. The base of the TV specs were the max of what the Bose system stated we could use. We also read that the specs said that the largest screen you could use was a 42".
We bought it anyway, and it works great! The sound on this TV is now the best. It also does replace the sound bar that shows on our TV. You have to turn off the audio on your TV, and the Bose will take over. We have Dish Network, and we were able to incorporate the sound control to use on the Dish remote. Not sure if this will help, but if the problem is only the size of the TV but the base will fit on top of the Bose, I would give it a try. Good Luck!
