Power configuration
My tv is already wall mounted with cabling going through the wall. Would be a large undertaking to add new cabling for a new device. Before I do, wanted to know if the soundbar power could be sourced from the tv's USB (my guess is even if it could power would be pretty weak).
If going to recable, what is the length of the power cable? Is it two or three pronged? Does it have a large casing or slim profile casing like most of your tv's?
Thanks
I just purchased one of these sound bars. I don't believe it can be powered through USB, but that's not my specialty. However, I can tell you that the power cord is relative short, no more than 6 feet, and barely reached my surge protector. It has a standard two-pronged plug. I'm not sure if you are asking about the plug casing or the speaker casing, but I suspect you are asking about the plug casing, in which case it is the same as most two-prong plugs and the power cord comes straight out of the plug, parallel to the prongs. It does not have the slim-profile offset configuration that allows the plug to fit into a tight location.
