What's great about it: Sleek design, small unit and decent sound for the kitchen
What's not so great: No remote and a nuisance selecting a programmed station
I was extremely skeptical at first when purchasing the iLive item. I had never heard of the brand and was prepared to return it if I was not satisfied. I still own it, listen to it every morning and use the Bluetooth pairing with my Ipod Touch while cooking. The unit is sleek, narrow, flush to the bottom of cabinet, gets great radio reception (has a long flexible plastic encased wire for the antenna) and has decent sound. I can control the sound level directly from my Ipod.
If you are looking for "thunder" base and high quality sound this is not for you. I wanted to free up some counter space with an old boombox CD player and the iLive unit was a perfect solution.

Cons: No CD player, searching for a pre-programmed radio station is a pain (you must hit one button several times to scroll to the next station) and no remote.

What's great about it: The low price and there are several songs that will become your favorites.
Great album, recently saw them in Newport. Can't wait to hear what this band can do for future albums.

Does the radio have the ability to pre-set your usual stations, so you don't have to scroll around with the tuner to find the station(s) every time?
The iLive unit does allow you to preset your favorite radio stations. However, there is only one button to scroll between stations which can be a pain. For example; if one of your preset stations is #1 and you want to scroll to the next station but it is preset #16 you must press the same button until you reach your desired station preset number. What I have done is to assign the same stations multiple preset numbers to save time and to prevent burning out the one button to scroll. Since there are 20 possible preset stations I just repeated my five favorites four times.
