Does this machine have a delicate or hand wash cycle and is the bottom of the drum plastic?

The bottom is plastic. No delicate cycle but then there's no spindle to rough up the load. I would put delicate in this machine as it tends to twist everything up so the potential for damage is great.

New Drain Hose?

Should I purchase a new drain hose to go with a new washer, or should the one I already have be compatible (assuming it's in good condition?)

Hoses should be changed at least in 7 to 10 years.

Warm & Hot water temps not working?

I noticed when I select a cycle with WARM water, the warm water came out for not even a minute (the lid started to fog a bit) but then switched to COLD WATER. I ried to reset it and even tried setting it to HOT yet nothing but COLD came out. Nothing is wrong with the hose connections etc. This is soooooo annoying. I want to be able to use HOT or WARM when selected! Why is this happening?

It's happening because the machine doesn't work properly! I have the same problem among others... Ever hit the power button by mistake while in the middle of a wash? A too easy thing to do.

Film build up covering the tub?

I have only washed 6 loads so far, lightly soiled. The last load washed was a small load of baby clothes using HE detergent not even filled all the way to the 1st line on the cup. After the load was done, there is a thick greasy film covering the entire drum. What is this and why did it happen? I always leave the lid open to air dry after wash and ensure there is no detergent residue in the detergent dispenser.

not enough water you have to pause the machine after the water stop filling and hold the extra water button for 3 seconds to get more water.
The sensing water level does not work properly.
