What's great about it: Versatile, fast, feels grippy, hi resolution display
What's not so great: yellow, not everything works great on display
This is a screaming fast laptop for general use (put aside games), I think faster than my wife's Dell XPS 13 with an i7 and SSD. The super high resolution screen really pops out at you. The wireless problem in earlier models has been fixed.
I love the tablet feature. For what I use it for I do not care if the keys stick out a bit. My favorite is putting the tablet form on a tablet stand and watching TV on it. With it so close to my face it is like watching a super big screen TV.
The first downside is yellow looks like mustard. Test this out using Paint and looking at and drawing with yellow. I tried all the fixes on he internet and only got a small improvement. But for some reason this does not make a significant difference. I pulled up a picture with yellow dandelions on my and my wife's computer. They looked the same color. For some reason mine had more detail (the picture was 1920 x 1080, same resolution as my wife's screen).
The second downside is not all programs take advantage of the high resolution. A good example is my Nook software. I was looking forward to reading Time magazine on my Yoga, but the software can only take advantage of 1920 x 1080. Still totally looks great, but I am still reading one page at a time.
This product is... A touch pad that works great, lightning fast
About me... Technology guru
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is this laptop excellent for video games?

I'm wondering if this laptop has excellent performance for modern video games.
Not really. While the cpu does great, the graphics performance for programs where that is important is not up to par. That means I can play Civilization 5, where the video occasionally turns fuzzy, but not graphics intensive programs. I probably could solve the fuzzing problem by dumbing down the video to 720p.

Get a laptop made for games with a discrete graphics card like an Alienware laptop. Don't get a laptop, like this one, where the cpu does the graphics.
