What's great about it: Speed, Range, Interface, Ease of Installation
What's not so great: Nothing
Alright, so I have been hunting for routers in the past few weeks, and I initially got the Netgear Nighthawk R7000 to replace my old Cisco E1500. I got caught up in all of the hype and got the "ultimate" AC router. It turned out that wasn't the case. My R7000 kept dropping the wifi signal, then the next day it would slow down. That router along with many other AC routers are just not ready to be released yet, there's too many bugs. So I did some research and found this router to be the best Wireless N router and boy is it true. My box came with a broken Ethernet cable which isn't a big deal, I have many lying around. When I set this router up I was astonished at how simple it was. I was connected in less than 5 minutes. I get a constant 56Mbps internet from Comcast. Range is not a problem with this router. I went to the opposite end of my house and did some speed tests. Guess what? I hit 55Mbps! Wow, I was so surprised. Both bands work flawlessly on the router. Good job ASUS. Even to this day, they are releasing constant updates to this near perfect router. Don't think twice about buying this router friends.

Can it Port Forward?

I would like to know if this router will allow me to port forward. My router does allow me to as it has a tab called applications and gaming.
Yes, it does allow that. It also has UPnP, so you don't need to port forward any ports if you don't feel like it. UPnP allows devices (Xbox, Playstation, Laptops etc.) to forward ports themselves.
