What's great about it: Small, very versitile
What's not so great: Battery life short
I bought this laptop about a week ago and it is awesome! Obviously, it can be used in a variety of ways. The touch screen is phenomenal and responsive, runs great and has a very nice display for such a small screen.
HOWEVER, there is a slight con...
The battery life is not so hot (about 3.5-4 hours or so without watching videos or streaming music). I am able to read articles and browse the web for about 3.5-4 hours without having to plug in; however, if you are watching videos such as YouTube or Netflix, playing games or streaming music, it reduces it to about 2.5-3 hours.
It is not all that bad for me, since I got the computer for a moble station to work on homework and papers away from my desktop computer.
I would not recommend this laptop to someone who is looking to work on the go for an extended period of time away from an outlet.
Apart from the battery, this laptop is absolutely amazing.
It runs basic games pretty well, including Minecraft.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awful laptop, exchanged once and then returned

I bought this laptop a few days ago to use for school work. Within 3 hours of bringing it home, I noticed the battery wasn't charging. I looked it up and tried for an hour to find out what was wrong with no avail. I then decided to exchange it for a new identical laptop. After barely 48 hours, the new laptop started doing the same exact thing. I just returned it and got a different Asus laptop. Definitely some kind of defect with both batteries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is this system any good for light gaming?

Yes, for the most part. I've installed Game Dev Tycoon, Trackmania and Minecraft on it. I played with the Minecraft settings and got it to be moderate performance.
