Can Sound Link Mini speaker be connected to AC power source all the time without damaging the battery?

Yes. No reputable manufacturer would allow for the AC adapter to damage the unit if left connected. There is a cutoff built into the circuitry to stop the flow of electricity when the battery is fully charged.
