What's great about it: Incredible picture!!!
What's not so great: I need to use 3 remotes to use my DVD player but NOT complaining!
Can't even express how AWESOME this TV is! I have a small home and this is replacing a 26" TV Samsung. Sharp and Samsung are the ONLY TV's I would ever consider. Now I don't have to strain my eyes - larger and clearer picture PLUS HD is great!!! I got this on sale but the would have paid regular price for the quality of this TV.
This product has... Easy to set up, Great value and features for the price, Right number of connections, Easy to use remote control
About me... Sports enthusiast, medical background not tech savvy
I would recommend this to a friend!

I heard this is a rebranded Insignia, is it true?

Would highly doubt it. SHARP has been around forever and they don't need to rebrand to sell more products.
