What's great about it: Easy to use, you are able to easily organize your recordings such as on the device and on your computer.
What's not so great: I honestly haven't had a problem with it thankfully and I've had it for a year now.
It's excellent for college students and anything else. I also use it to record cooking shows, and other things I might forget. You will enjoy it very much ! I love mine, without it taking notes at school would be hard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I need to record interviews over the phone. Will I be able to with this?

Absolutely, I record over the phone also. Works beautifully.
While making the call, make sure to put yourself on speaker. The voice recorder will pick up everything clearly.
