This Sony 55-inch Android TV delivers 4K HDR video with unmatched clarity and vivid colors. A number of things sold me on this product, the fact that it is the size I needed at 55", has at least a 120hz refresh rate (hard to find at this screen size), better upscale enhancement technology, and the apps that Android TV has to offer and very thin TV thickness. Was also convince that there was less light bleed compared to older models. So far, most has gone as expected, with a couple of concerns: I still see light bleed when the screen is fully black, prior to a operating system update, there was an issue with the remote control and suddenly the video quality went completely wacky. After I allowed the TV to do it's update, both issues seem to be resolved, but - will this ever happen again? Did I get a bad unit? If I could be assured the issues were temporary for a one time issue, I would change my recommendation.

While most TV's that this works on are already smart TV's, some of those TV's still do not feature all the channels Roku has. A lot of channels still need cable TV subscription or subscriptions to them.
Set up was very straight forward. The user interface has a number of styles to pick from. You will need a good Wi-Fi signal and speed to expect good streaming quality. It is nice to be able to use the TV's remote to control Roku instead of a separate remote. I now use Roku over the smart TV apps.

What's great about it: Sound quality, versatile and networkable
What's not so great: Sonos software and memory limitations
It looks great, it sounds great, it costs a lot too for the whole setup. In order to get the soundbar to work off your TV, you must also make sure it is tied into the network router, typically you will have to get the $50 controller for that too for wireless connection so that the software on your home computer can find it and set it up. Once you have that, setup is simple. There is a limitiation on how much of your music the SONOS software can work with. On my music library, only found about 1/3 of my small music library (search the SONOS support forums for this before making a purchase decision). There is a workaround available through SONOSpy, a community developed service system. My main issue is that there is no apps available for Windows 8RT or Windows Phone 8.

will the mhl version of the roku streaming stick work in the hdmi port?

No, it must be an MHL rated port. MHL ports include additional power that the stick needs to function on. The standard HDMI stick uses a separate power cord (source) for it to function. Make sure you have an MHL port on your TV prior to purchasing this one.
