What's great about it: Fast 4th Generation Intel Processor (Haswell Chip) & Lightweight
What's not so great: Touchscreen sometimes unresponsive in tablet mode (but all convertibles are)
I originally purchased the Toshiba Click Convertible because it is less expensive, the speakers are louder and has a 500 GB Hard Drive which fit all my photos and videos on it. I was unhappy with the slow speed of the AMD Processor and its heavier weight so Best Buy took it back (great customer service, by the way!) .So glad I got the Lenovo Yoga 11S! Even though it has a 128 GB Solid State Drive, the faster speed makes it well worth putting my thousands of old photos on a flash drive to free up space for programs on this neat little machine. It is lightning fast because it has the new 4th Generation i5 Intel Processor w/ the Haswell Chip! I looked at the MS Surface and the new Sony Tap 11. Even though I liked them as well, what I don't like about them is that you need to put the tablet part on a flat surface. The Yoga 11S lets you rest it on your lap or on a table if you prefer. It's acrobatic features are wonderful! I love it in the tent mode and it's also cool to use it as a tablet. The speakers are loud enough but if you want great speakers for music, get a small portable bluetooth speaker and your good to go! And it's on sale now for Black Friday. Grab it now and save $50 before it goes back to $799! You won't regret it.

Yes, I think you can update it to Windows 8 Pro but I would ask the Geek Squad that one.

How do I install programs?
If there isn't a cd rom drive on this computer, how do I install my existing programs such as Microsoft office or turbo tax?
It has MS Office Ap with a 30 day free trial option. You can Click that you already have it and they will ask you for the Product Key. I couldn't use my copy of MS Word 2002s because it is not compatible. You have to have a newer version of MS Office, not just Word like I have. You can also get the product key from Turbo Tax and I'm sure there is a way to install it online. That's the new Tech. No more Discs : (

Can I get it with Windows 7?
No. It comes with Windows 8 because it is touch screen. I guess you can downgrade it if you want but I don't know if it would be compatible. why would you want to? Windows 8 is awesome when you get used to it.

When does this computer come out?
Best Buy just got it last week. $599 with 18 mo. no interest option if you put it on a Best Buy Credit Card and if you join rewards program, you get money back to buy your 16gb flash drive which you should get to back up the system before loading your personal files in case of a crash. No discs come with it and no dvd drive. None of the new computers that are lightweight have dvd drives anymore.

Digital Photo Transfer?
How do I transfer digital photos from my camera or memory card?
Does not appear to have Digital Media Slots?

If your camera comes with a wire with a mini usb at the end, you can fit it in the mini usb slot to transfer photos from your camera to the laptop. It does have a mini SD Card Slot and a mini HDMI slot as well. There is also a mini firewire port and it comes with a short wire adapter. It has a regular size USB 3 port on the keyboard which fits a regular USB 2 flash drive or other device you may have with a USB on it. The only other model that the screens lifts off is the HP Split which I didn't consider because it is much heavier, $100 more and they only give you 128GB Hard Drive and it's an Intel 3rd Generation Processor which does not have the new Haswell Chip and is slower than the 4th Generation Intel Processor. Sony makes a new one, the Tap 11, that comes detached and does not click onto the keyboard and it is only 11" screen and 128GB Hard Drive coming out soon for $799. The MS Surface is also only an 11" screen and $899 for a 128 GB Hard Drive. If I was willing to spend $1200, I would've considered the Lenovo Yoga 2 13" with the 256 GB Hard Drive but that is still small for my needs. I found a tiny rubber covered metal stand in the Container Store (it's really a dish rack! lol!) that works fine as a stand. (see photo - skyping a friend in NYC from LA - clear). There is a one year Manufacturer Warranty on the Toshiba Click Convertible. Hope this helps!
