What's great about it: It really cancels noice well.
What's not so great: short cord for recharging
I work in a cubicle surrounded by co-workers on speaker phones and computer conference calls. It's now possible for me to hear an entire conference call through my computer using these earphones with noise cancellation. Everyone on the call can also hear me through the microphone on the earphones. When I'm not on a call, I use these earphones to listen to music (or listen to nothing) and the noise cancellation is unbelievable - even blocks higher ranges of voice and loud laughing. Sometimes I use these at night to block my spouse's snoring - only problem is, I don't hear the alarm clock in the morning if I do that - which proves how much noise is blocked with these earphones. If I want to let in outside noise while listening to music, with just the push of a button I can.

RE: noise cancellation quality when not listening to music

My main purpose for buying noise canceling headphones is not to listen to music without distractions, but to have peace and quiet while not listening to music. Peace. Quiet. No music, either. So, how well does the noise cancellation perform when not listening to any music? When not listening to music, will conversations be blocked out? Or, do they perform better with reducing noises like air conditioner units, subway sounds, but do not do well with blocking out human speech?
The earbuds work fairly well blocking noise even without listening to music. I use them for this purpose while I'm in work concentrating and don't want the distraction of music or anything else. I work in a very noisy environment and this works very well for me. I'd give them a 9 on a 1-10 rating scale for this purpose.

Can I recharge the battery from a wall plug with the Kindle usb-wall plug?

I have a wall plug-usb adapter I use to charge my kindle. I can use it in the US or abroad (220v) It has an output of 5.0 v, .85 amps.

Can I use this plug to connect the usb cable and recharge the Bose QC20 noise cancelling earbuds?
I use my kindle, iphone, and htc wall plugs for usb to charge my earbuds with no problems.
