what is the maxium distance the watch can be from the galaxy note ,and still recieve calls and texts

i am a UPS driver i cant keep my phine attached to me ,however i can keep the watch on. i am sometimes up to 200 feet away from my truck where the galaxy note would be .would still like the watch to receive calls and texts

The GALAXY Gear has a maximum range of 25 feet outdoors. To attain a range of 200 feet a smart watch would have to be tethered via cellular which would probably drain the battery in a few hours.

The GALAXY Gear only worked with the GALAXY Note 3 at launch. By Thanks Giving Day the GALAXY Note 2, S4, S3 and Mega will all work with the GALAXY Gear.

Can the watch be purchased separately and paired with the note 3 by owner?

Yes, the GALAXY Gear has a unique ID which is located on the back of charging case. To pair the GALAXY Gear with any supported GALAXY smartphone (Currently the Note 3, Note 2, S4, S3 and Mega) simply enable NFC and touch the back of the device to the charging case.

Would it be safe to use the Galaxy Gear during exercise, when sweating alot....

Yes you can use the GALAXY Gear under those extreme conditions. The GALAXY Gear is water resistant and can even handle long durations in a steam room. (My personal best is currently 28.32 minutes according to the Stop Watch on my Gear)

I have an iPhone 4S and have a lot of music in iTunes, if I were to go to a Galaxy would my music transfer and what about my contacts?

Samsung includes Smart Sync software to help you transfer your old phone data to your new GALAXY class smartphone. iTunes is DRM based music however there are plenty of online tools that will convert the music over for use with any Android or Windows based device.

What is the best CRM to use with the Note 3? I work in sales and looking for a mobile device to help me stay organized with contacts, calendar, tasks

The GALAXY Note 3 is the most powerful smartphone with bleeding-edge technology designed to stay organized and connected. Furthermore, Samsung includes many integrated communications and business-oriented tools with the Note 3. However, I am not familiar with any CRM at the present but I would check the Play Store or Samsung Hub for availability and reviews. If Samsung does come out with a CRM of their own, odds are it will be free with premium GALAXY Smartphones such as the Note 3 and S4.

How far away from the phone can you be for the Galaxy Gear to still be connected?

That varies on your location away from the phone. If I am outside I can walk about 20 - 25 feet from my phone before it drops. At my office the connection drops about 7 - 10 feet away and at my apartment I can be 10 - 15 feet away. Again range depends on which room I enter either at my office or apartment.

The GALAXY Gear is water resistant but not waterproof. To date I was able to use the Gear perfectly in a steam room but have yet to test it in cold weather (2 months to go). Flash would probably kill the battery very quickly.
