I have not had great experiences with smaller antennas. Before I installed it on the roof, I decided to hold it in my hand and connect it to my tv in my den. Inside a brick covered house, I got strong local signals that were elusive to the smaller indoor antennas I had tried.
That sealed the deal. I mounted it on my roof and all channels in 50 miles are coming in strong. 69 in the San Antonio Area.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was blaming my ISP for not putting through the speed quoted when my old router started dropping our connections.
It was a first generation N router and at the end of its life cycle.
Went into Best Buy looking to get the RT-AC68P. Found the RT-AC87R on sale for $13 more and decided to upgrade to the higher router.
My speeds literally doubled. My streaming no longer buffers and gaming is noticeably smoother.
On setup, I could not find the login name and password in the docs but I guessed correctly that they were admin and blank for the password which i changed immediately. No calls were needed to customer support.
So far, I am very satisifed with the purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does this Asus mu-mimo router solve the problem of many users at the same time?

I am having the problem of Internet dropping with netflix on an x-box 360, an iPad, and an android tablet running at the same time. Will this Asus router fix that problem?
I was having the same issue with my Dlink 655 router.
This router has a two bands, one at 5G and one at 2.4.G.
Currently running (on the 5G Band) two Roku in Hd with Sony PS4 at the same time no buffering or issues.

I run the tablet, 4 phones and 3 PCs on the 2.4G channel and the tablet connects at 20MB with no problem at an extended range. Computers connect at 80MB.
