What's great about it: Light, Sleek, Simple
What's not so great: RAM is NOT upgradable as advertised
Best Buy advertised this as "RAM upgradable to 8GB" so I took it to the Geek Squad. They installed the RAM they sell at the store, but the UX302LA did NOT recognize the RAM. So they had to install the original 4GB back in. I then contacted ASUS directly, and to my surprise, the agent told me that the RAM is not upgradable AT ALL. It still is clearly advertised as RAM upgradable, and someone obviously did not their homework.
To those who wrote that they were able to add the RAM to run faster, how? Please tell me because I like the laptop, and I'd love to make it run faster. ASUS doesn't know if they are gonna make a larger RAM for this model.

Memory Upgrade

Just want to check if, for this particular model (UX302LA) the memory can be upgraded to, say, at least 8gb.
If it's possible to upgrade the memory, could you point me to the correct memory upgrade module so I can order them both together?

I wanted to do the same thing, but GeekSquad couldn't install their 8GB RAM because UX302LA didn't recognize it. So I then contacted ASUS, and they told me that the RAM is NOT upgradable. I hope they make one for at least 8GB. I like the laptop, but this is a big disappointment when Best Buy clearly advertise it as "RAM can be upgraded."
