What's great about it: Cheap - You get what you pay for
What's not so great: The processor is meant for Cellular phones and Tablets.
This processor is meant for "Ultra"-Mobile devices, meaning cellular phones, tablets and Netbooks. It can be good for some laptops if you are more concerned about battery life than performance. I'm baffled that someone even considered using it in a desktop. Do not expect this to run well with Desktop applications as they differ from the trimmed down applications designed to run on Mobile devices and require more processing horsepower than their counterparts meant for mobile. As an IT Professional I would not recommend this to anyone except perhaps a Computer minimalist or an enemy so that i could enjoy watching their hair turn grey if not fall out from constant stalling and lack of processing capabilities that no amount of ram can fix.
This product is... A nice compact size, easy to set up

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How about Windows 7 Professional?

I would like to buy the HP Pavillion Slimliine 400 but I need Windows 7 Professional as the OS. Can that be done?
Software can be changed any time if you understand how to do it, but i believe what you're truly asking is if it can be done before purchase - which is best directed at the actual BestBuy team, rather than an automated bot that asks other customers?
