 Linksys - MAX-STREAM™ AC1900 Dual Band Repeater with MU-MIMO - White
Linksys - MAX-STREAM™ AC1900 Dual Band Repeater with MU-MIMO - White
Prevent dead zones around your home with the help of this Linksys Wi-Fi range extender. It works with all types of Wi-Fi routers, and it uses multi-user MIMO for speed and efficiency. This Linksys Wi-Fi range extender can be used to create a different access point or to extend the field of the router’s connection.

This is a great little unit that can extend the range of your current router. THIS IS NOT A STAND ALONE ROUTER.
The PROS:
Small size
Works with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Set-up was simple.
If you have a Linksys MaxStream Router, it will switch between the router and extender with no interruption.
The CONS:
Couldn't get the push button WPS to sync with my 5 GHz band.
You can get another actual AC router for the price.
So why get this instead of another AC router? If you have a home or business that isn't wired with ethernet ports already, then you either have to a) run cable or b) purchase an extender. This extender simply needs an outlet and to be close enough to grab your router's wifi signal and you will be able to extend the wireless range significantly. You can also choose to use it as a wifi to ethernet cable transmitter (in a situation where you NEED to plug in an ethernet cable but there isn't a port around).
The day the mailman dropped this off I had it running in less than 10 minutes. The push button setup worked with the 2.4Ghz network in less than two minutes, but the 5Ghz (AC) band wouldn't connect. I set it up "manually" in less than 5 minutes and it worked like a champ. I bounced around the house plugging it into areas near my "dead zones" and it immediately brought wifi life to my home. All the security settings from my original router were just carried over. The only difference was that the extender put a _Ext behind the network name I had already assigned my primary router.
The next thing I tested was speed. Using my current AC router I was getting a ping of about 15ms and using this extender I was getting about 20ms. Transfer speeds were pretty consistent with 37Mbps down and 6Mbps up. I am sure that these things also depend on what your home is made of and your actual square footage, so take that into consideration as well.
Aside from the normal use, I began to realize I could use this for unnecessary things as well. When hooked up to an outlet on my back deck, my whole yard has wifi. Very useful if playing with the kiddos or having a cookout (all my 10-year-old son's friends have smartphones and video game addictions).
Overall, I would recommend this to someone who absolutely needs it. While the cheaper options may work, the reliability and ability to switch from router to extender without interruption (when using a Linksys router) is great. Compared to a similar product I have purchased in the past from a company I generally love (think fruit), I would say I would definitely recommend this before that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This case is amazing. Originally had a lifeproof. Its a cute little case but DEFINATELY not durable. And it feels cheap. Not a $90 case. Saw this online and jumped on it.
After purchasing it, I put it through it's paces. Took it 12 ft. underwater at a pool, dropped it (by accident# from the back of a semi #about 7 ft.#, let my infant niece eat it while listening to her favorite tunes.. etc. Its AWESOME. As long as you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS you will not kill your IPhone. Case can use aftermarket earphones and charging plugs #which most other units like this cannot# and is nice to look at. Touch ID works 90% of the time and there are replaceable parts on Catalyst's website if you destroy a part of it but do not need a whole new case.
Word of advice. buy the case from bestbuy. The website can be slightly cheaper with random promo codes, but I recently purchased my second case from them #first was purchased on Amazon before BestBuy started selling them) and I have been waiting on it for about 3 weeks. Unacceptable. Wife already dropped her phone in the toilet by that time. My mom prayed over it and the 6 came back to life, but I recommend overnight shipping from Best Buy.

What's great about it: Actually Waterproof for the 40 minutes I tested it. Looks nice.
What's not so great: Sound quality from me to them. They hear an echo.
I bought this case because I am in the Army, live on my phone, and take it to ridiculous places. I have heard of the name lifeproof and heard good things. I have previously used primarily Otterbox Defenders and have never had a problem, but they are SUPER bulky and make your phone feel like your holding a rubberized stone to your ear. This case was slimmer and overall had a better feel than the Otterbox. It also was waterproof and while I'm not swimming or around large bodies of water often, its nice to know if my kids drop my phone in the toilet while playing MineCraft it's not going to kill it.
Case fits great and feels good in the hand. Looks nice and is definitely durable. However, after using it for about a week, I have taken it off. I have to be in a "quieter" area to even be heard legibly and one of my co-workers said it sounded like I was "inside a garbage can". I got online and looked at reviews and similar concerns were voiced. After looking I found another company I trusted had started making waterproof cases not as bulky and better looking. While I still prefer the look of the lifeproof case, I need a case I can use. I really wanted to love this case,....... I just can't.
This product has... Attractive design, Easily fits in pocket/purse, A no slip grip, Tough/durable, A nice compact size, good fit, the ability to make your voice unrecognizable.

Just purchased this tablet because my last tab broke. It was an Asus Transformer in a 10" screen. I use many Android products and am not new to tablets. Wife has an nexus 7 (previous generation) and all my friends use Android products. That said, this tablet is not smooth comparatively. My wife's almost 2 year old Nexus runs smoother. Screen is obviously not the best on the market. That being said, still a solid tablet. Does what you need it to do plus some. The screen, not being HD, does help battery life and it has a great size and feeling in the hand. Even with the otter box it feels light and easy to carry. Expandable memory is a necessity and it has all the features we have grown to love with the Galaxy line sans NFC. It does have wifi sharing which helps but it's not as simple as NFC. All in all, if price is a serious issue, go for this tab. You won't hate it. If you got the extra dollars, go for the nexus 7 or the Galaxy tab 3 8.0 or Note 8.0. Realize they will all run smoother, but the nexus which is closest to the same price will not get you expandable memory, remote features, or TouchWiz (native galaxy software installed on top of stock Android).

What is the best tablet for a technologically challenged person

Was loaned an iPad 1, 10 inch screen, 16 or 32 GN. Time to return it. I want and need something similar, refurbished fine within my very modest budget of $125. I don't know about eBay, PayPal, and other auction sites. I need some advised, condensed version. I have til end of July. Would like a 10 inch screen.
Istuff is the way to go, but you aren't going to find much on your "modest" budget. Try looking at Kindles. They are about as easy as an Apple product but cost less. They are not going to be of the same quality or caliber, but they are easy and will probably do everything you want it to. You will not have access to your Apple purchased apps though, and will have to go to apples website on the browser to watch any movies or listen you music you purchased. Android is my personal favorite. You can pick up a bunch of 8 in tablets in your price range, but they are not as easy as Apple products (not much more difficult though).

I need help

My up voulume button isnt working... it was just working and now its not. How can I fix it?
Sometimes I just restart mine. The Galaxy tabs are finicky creatures. I love the Galaxy series phones, but have bad luck with their tablets. Mine has problems charging sometimes. Normally a restart fixes the problem. Sometimes, they want to be left alone until they die and then charged while off. Turn em on, Presto! If that doesn't work, hope you bought their black tie protection..... Best Buy is pretty good about switching them out for you. They will even let you pay the difference to upgrade to a newer or different model occasionally. Hope that helps.
